Kwikset Interior Bed/Bath Door Emergency Key X10

We have the handle style doorknobs on our interior doors and really like them. Then we got a cat that figured out how to hang on the door handle to open the door. Now we have to keep rooms locked if we want to keep her out. I called Kwickset and they sent me a couple of these keys, since we had misplaced all the ones that came with our doors. They told me that I could purchase them on Amazon too. With our cat, its nice to have one of these keys above every door. Once you use them a coulpe of times, they are easy to use. I just make sure the flat part of the key is horizontal before placing it in the hole. Wiggle it a little until you can feel that its in the groove and turn.

Perfect for when you have little kids that lock themselves in their room or the bathroom; on purpose or by accident. Also great if someone has an emergency and can’t open the door.

Moved into a new house and there were none of these anywhere. Bought this and they were exactly what I was looking for as we have younger kids and door locking issues. Wife decided to hide them and now we are already repeat customers!

We bought a new house in May 2013 and our 17 month old son has learned quickly how to lock and unlock our bedroom & bathroom doors! The previous owner of the house had young children but either didnt need these emergency keys or took them with them. We knew that we would need these keys immediately before our son locked himself in a room!! Ordered them and they were received only a couple days later. 5 hours after we received them our son locked himself in his bedroom and started playing with his toys. Took less than 10 seconds to unlock the door with these emergency keys!! We believe he would have eventually unlocked the door himself but the peace of mind having these keys was well worth the purchase!!!

We have lost the bathroom emergency keys many times and now as grandparents once again found they come in handy. I bought a package of these to have close to doors and save as backups, should the need arrive.

Its a piece of metal with a hook on one side and a flat key on the other side. It would be difficult to find anything wrong with this item. The keys were packed in a small plastic bag. They work great and I have no complaints

I ordered these to use with a client who has dementia and an unfortunate liking for locking doors. Only 1 key came with the apartment, and these are actually better! These arent nearly as soft as the original, but, sadly, Im not finding them any easier to use. Sigh. Regardless, though, these are terrific keys at a great price, and we love having extras. My client also has an unfortunate liking for swiping and/or moving stuff, so all of our eggs are no longer in one basket!! MOST highly recommended!

I had no idea what brand door knobs I have in my house, just knew that they needed the little flat keys that are similar to a flat head screw driver. These work like a charm. I stuck one on top of all of the doorframes and had a couple extras to put up so I shouldn’t have to buy them again and always can find one when I need it. The packaging didn’t show any kind of brand name on it, so I have no idea who these are actually manufactured by, but they work so I really don’t care .
