This is a complete overpriced garbage Ive ever had. I got this as a gift from my wife and were so disappointed on how this thing turns out. Its cheaply made and not worth the 60bucks. Buttons fell off just pulling out from the box. L3 and R3 rarely works. I hate everything about this although the concept is good.

I bought this awhile back it was great till it broke made playing my vita much easier, it lasted just fine till I dropped it and it hit the top left corner the plastic cracked and split. It was hard to properly clean the vita with the back triggers on they stuck on with stickers directly to the vita

So it arrived with one of the little plastic clips broken. It wasn’t enough to stop it from being usable but if I have to take the case off and on for various reasons in the future I suspect the other clips may break over time. It does create a better overall grip for me. I have larger hands and always felt like as I was playing longer periods, the Vita was pushing out of my hands during normal play. This provides some additional grips that makes me feel like it can hold in place better. The buttons etc are recessed inside the case, so it does feel a bit off at first playing and hitting the buttons but you do get used to it. Once you do, it typically feels ok. As for the adhesive back buttons, I opted to not use them. I have a few games that require you to use the back touchpad and this panel covers the entire back panel. I was afraid that sticking and I sticking the back panel over time would lose the adhesive nature of it and it just wouldn’t work. I would have preferred something to allow me to be able to remove the back panel and reattach it more often. However, I did tape it to the back for a bit and tied it with a few games that used tapping and touching the back like a button and the triggers worked well, so I suspect if you stick it to the back permanently it would work as well. Overall it served its purpose of making the device more comfortable in my larger hands and giving it a modern controller feel. Star deducted for the broken clip and application of the back panel.

I just wish the handles were extended down a little more like the PS4 controller. It’s good but could have been better.

Im one of the few gamers who thinks the PS Vita is an awesome console and has great potential to be a lot more, and maybe even go toe-to-toe against the 3DS; however with the time that passes and the features added to the original hardware along with a weak library, Its quite easy to already see WHY this didnt catch on, especially when it could use games a lot of people recognized. Now, we come to this particular add-on and... Its a perfect, instant, improvement to the PSVita adding on L2 and R2 buttons. What is this mostly used for however? Well, games that could have used this features ages ago such As Jak and Daxter, Rachet and Clank, insert and PS1 Classic and and game that allows you to assign back-touch pad controls. Ive been playing Rachet and Clank recently using this add-on and the difference is as clear as night and day. R2 for strafing works beautifully in game 2 and 3 and Ive been able to handle the more tedious levels with the hoverboard in the First R&C. PS1 Titles? Ive been able to get through a lot of my PS1 classics a lot easier than using either face or rear touchpads when I assign the button layouts. Why Sony didnt bother to include an R2 or L2 trigger is beyond me and this add-on for the original PS Vita is an instant must if you plan to own a vita in the future.

The little back piece cones with a dual side adhesive you attach to the back of the vita to give you physical L3 and R3 buttons. It works great except when I hit R3 it makes like a squeak sound. Maybe has to do with the spring, but if you have headphones on or are not really paying attention to it, it is not a big deal as the buttons are responsive. It also comes with the piece that goes over your vita, this dis not fit my vita for some reason. 2 out of the 4 clamps could not attach. Thankfully I had another case that I bought for the R2 and L2. I used that case and the back piece still fits well, so I am pretty happy, but beware if you do not have another vita console cover. Maybe mines was just defective. The packaging was great and delivery took about a week coming from China, super fast imo.

I think the product is overpriced but it is for a product they no longer manufacture so its understandable. This case is not as protective as I would have hoped but it fits perfectly and adds the trigger buttons I need for most games I play so I love it
