Im a little worried about breaking this thing, but as far as I know its the only option for this functionality and it delivers in that respect. Sadly you cant use it for easy Bloodborne remote play since Bloodborne insists on putting the four Dual-Shock 4 buttons that the Vita doesnt have on the front instead of the back touchpad, but it works a treat for anything with sane remote play bindings like Spider-Man. I recommend not removing the tape off of the adhesive for the little L3/L3 attachment; the tape does its job a little too well and its very hard to get the thing off the Vita afterwards; it doesnt fit snugly enough in the L2/R2 case to stay on its own without the tape, but it fits snugly enough that when youre actually using it, it wont move at all.

Im one of the few gamers who thinks the PS Vita is an awesome console and has great potential to be a lot more, and maybe even go toe-to-toe against the 3DS; however with the time that passes and the features added to the original hardware along with a weak library, Its quite easy to already see WHY this didnt catch on, especially when it could use games a lot of people recognized. Now, we come to this particular add-on and... Its a perfect, instant, improvement to the PSVita adding on L2 and R2 buttons. What is this mostly used for however? Well, games that could have used this features ages ago such As Jak and Daxter, Rachet and Clank, insert and PS1 Classic and and game that allows you to assign back-touch pad controls. Ive been playing Rachet and Clank recently using this add-on and the difference is as clear as night and day. R2 for strafing works beautifully in game 2 and 3 and Ive been able to handle the more tedious levels with the hoverboard in the First R&C. PS1 Titles? Ive been able to get through a lot of my PS1 classics a lot easier than using either face or rear touchpads when I assign the button layouts. Why Sony didnt bother to include an R2 or L2 trigger is beyond me and this add-on for the original PS Vita is an instant must if you plan to own a vita in the future.

Works exactly like I hoped it would. The triggers have been 100% reliable and have made remote play to my PS4 much more enjoyable. It makes the system a little more bulky but the better controls make up for it. The L3/R3 panel seems to come off after not using it for a while but this doesn’t bother me and, in fact, I’m releived it comes off fairly easily since I didn’t want to completely remove my ability to use the panel as designed (since a few games require rear touch panel swiping and other gestures). Definitely recommend.

After a long time deliberating I finally decided to bite the bullet and pick this grip up. I mainly use my Vita for PS4 Remote Play, Moonlight PC Gamestreaming and Emulators and I must say that its like a whole new beast now. I was never a fan of the back touchscreen on the Vita and frequently tended to push unwanted parts of it when playing my games. Now I FINALLY have real L2, R2, L3, & R3 buttons to press and I can never see myself going back. Ive only been using it for a couple days so far and while I havent noticed any damage as of yet, the fact that the Vita is held into the thing by 4 plastic clips is a little worrisome. They show no signs of giving out just yet, but Im wary about ever taking my Vita out of the thing now for fear of one of them snapping. Dont get my wrong, the plastic its made out of seems fairly sturdy, but Id rather not test the stress tolerances of those clasps if I dont have to. Besides that tho, it works exactly as advertised and Id recommend it to anyone else who uses their Vita in a similar manner.

So it arrived with one of the little plastic clips broken. It wasn’t enough to stop it from being usable but if I have to take the case off and on for various reasons in the future I suspect the other clips may break over time. It does create a better overall grip for me. I have larger hands and always felt like as I was playing longer periods, the Vita was pushing out of my hands during normal play. This provides some additional grips that makes me feel like it can hold in place better. The buttons etc are recessed inside the case, so it does feel a bit off at first playing and hitting the buttons but you do get used to it. Once you do, it typically feels ok. As for the adhesive back buttons, I opted to not use them. I have a few games that require you to use the back touchpad and this panel covers the entire back panel. I was afraid that sticking and I sticking the back panel over time would lose the adhesive nature of it and it just wouldn’t work. I would have preferred something to allow me to be able to remove the back panel and reattach it more often. However, I did tape it to the back for a bit and tied it with a few games that used tapping and touching the back like a button and the triggers worked well, so I suspect if you stick it to the back permanently it would work as well. Overall it served its purpose of making the device more comfortable in my larger hands and giving it a modern controller feel. Star deducted for the broken clip and application of the back panel.

Have had no problems. Very snug. When I put it on I thought I may break it because the hinges are plastic and very small, so BE CAREFUL. Everything snapped into place and the triggers work fantastically! Well worth the purchase to remote play PS3/PS4.

I get it, the ps Vita wasnt meant to have all this connected to it. That being said, this thing weights virtually nothing so just using it I felt like I was gonna break it. If I picked this up for $10 I think it would be fine for what its trying to be but boy can I not justify $60 for something with such little heft.

These trigger attachments are great to use with the PS Vita. The case fits perfectly over the PS Vita 1000 model, but the clasps do have to be individually clamped shut. The case-like design of the attachments makes it comfortable to hold the Vita. It almost gives the feeling of holding a gaming controller in your hands. Unfortunately, the L3/R3 trigger attachment is not a solid fit with the rest of the clamshell case design (at least mine wasnt). I couldnt figure any way to snap or fit it onto the case at all, so I ended up using tape to keep it all together. It wasnt a deal breaker for me but others expecting a more quality or professional build might feel differently. Also, the case doesnt have a sturdy build quality about it. Removing the case to fit the L3/R3 part to it almost felt like I was going to break the cases plastic retention clasps. It makes you feel like you have to be EXTRA careful when handling it. All in all I do like the accessory, though, but I dont love it. It does add quite a bit of heft to the size of the Vita (like I said, it gives it the size and feel of a traditional gaming controller) and having to rig it up with tape to be one complete unit seems like it shouldnt be a necessity (but it was for my unit). However, it does help fill the void of not having the extra triggers and L3/R3 functionality not being part of the Vitas original design. So for that I can overlook the negatives, for now.
