This is a really well made sturdy case. As it shows in the picture you can fit the lead for the external drive in. The zip works well.

Used w/ Seagate Backup Plus Slim 1tb. Works great.

Its the 2nd case I am buying after wasting my time on amazon basics. This case is MUCH MORE robust and sturdy, it has internal padding (so chances of HDD surviving an incident are higher) and is much more convenient as there are many inner pockets insides, handy for small items such as phone pins or card adapters
