I have not tested this in water and do not intend to. I wanted it to protect my hard drive against knocks etc. It is just what I wanted and am very pleased with my purchase.

Bought a Seagate Backup Plus Slim 1 terabyte drive (red), should had purchased a color coordinated case...my bad. This case is nice, since it has a couple of compartments for SD cards.

It was for my son not to have all his stuff laying around it seems to be a good sturdy product
