The wheels work really well for removing paint. Use with caution because these remove paint very fast and can damage whatever youre grinding. They wear out relatively quick so buy more than you expect. Good stuff for price.

I purchased 15 of these pads to strip 120 years of accumulated layers of paint from my front porch frame structure. I tried chemicals, orbital sander, and a wire wheel and nothing seemed to work well and removal was extremely slow. I saw a video of a guy stripping paint using this type of pad and he was moving quite fast. I read the reviews of these pads not lasting long and they are, sorry to say, quite true. I use all 15 pads to remove about 15 feet of old paint, on an 9 porch header. The pads made easy work removing the paint down to bare wood with my grinder, but I was continuously changing pads. Doing the math, I was able to strip, to bare wood, 1 foot with each pad. I was pleased with the results, and have ordered 30 more pads. This time, Im only stripping the paint to bare wood where it will be seen, all other areas, Im only going to smooth the old paint out and then repaint. Still, however, when comparing the pad costs to the inordinate time I would need to invest in other ways of removing the old paint, these pads still are a better deal. Try them, youll like them, but make sure to have enough to do your job.

Shocked how quickly, flawlessly this disc performed on my angle grinder. Took off just the paint and Rust to the metal...not removing but exactly what was expected.

Had been stripping rust and what was left of old finish on a very old iron/steel book press with a wire wheel mounted on a battery powered angle grinder. Started with small, hard to reach details like inside corners and hard to get to surfaces like inner acme threads. Was making what I felt was good progress getting to bare metal, when I decided to test/switch to these pads for the large flat, or easily accessible areas. I was very impressed in the rate of stripping to bare metal as if I had started using a high-powered sand blaster. I know I had to have a smile on my face as I though how easy this is with these disks, and why we didnt have something like this years ago? I know I will be using them without hesitation in the future.

Were used on a Dewalt angle grinder. Used for light paint removal. They did a decent enough job removing the paint but their durability is awful. They literally did not make it through 16 cabinet facings, forced me to switch back to flap discs. I wasn’t expecting them to last forever but actual use time vs cost make these not a good value
