This is a great little set for imaginative play. The picnic items are colorful and fun - the cupcake looks delicious! The picnic basket is big enough to hold some of your childs other pretend food and the individual food pieces are big enough to prevent choking for your smaller tots. In addition, if you have little ones, the food items are soft and pliable enough that they wont hurt little teeth. The ketchup and mustard bottles squirt with a string that comes out. Its knotted so as not to come out completely and the string goes back into the bottles very easily. All in all, this is a nice toy set that should please any imaginative child!

I have 9 other Learning Resource New Sprouts sets... They are usually great toys. I was a little disappointed in this one. For the price, you dont get a ton. I have the New Sprouts Cookout set which also comes with ketchup and mustard. I dont think the strings add much. I have a Melissa and Doug set which has a better ketchup and mustard (done with a rod that easily moves in and out of the bottle). The strings take a bit of cajoling to get back into the bottle. I also dont think the watermelon slices have the detail other Learning Resources New Sprouts play food have (lacking texture, and seeds). The burgers in this set are interesting as they are much darker than the one in the Learning Resources LER9256 Sprouts Complete Play Food Set. The buns are darker and the sesame seeds are white, whereas in the other set its all beige (bun and seeds). The burger is almost black, so I suppose they are well done compared to the brown burger patty in the other set. The basket is cute and the cupcakes are fine. It just doesnt feel like you get much in this set compared to the other Learning Resources New Sprouts play food sets.

I love this set! The colors of the food are vibrant and the pieces feel sturdier than other similar products weve had. I will almost definitely buy more products made by this company.

My 2.5 yo doesnt quite get what the grill is supposed to be, but she loves the food and the tongues and the little tray. It has made it obvious that we dont eat asparagus though - she calls it grass :).

This is a very nice set. The details are truly realistic. My granddaughters have had a great time with this. The pieces are thick enough that i believe they will handle play from young children well.

This picnic basket is first off adorable! It is the perfect size for little hands to carry and fits just enough inside for them. Since its cold out now, we have been having picnics inside and my kids think its so cool. With the set you get enough food for two plates worth plus the basket and condiments. I like how the meals include a piece of fruit and a treat in addition to the hamburger. The food is also not the cheap flimsy food that you buy a 50 piece set for $5 - it is a more durable plastic/rubber material. This food is definitely strong enough to last many playtime meals. The ketchup and mustard even have a string that you can push in or pour out to stimulate real ketchup/mustard pouring out. My favorite though is the cute little basket. It has become my 18 month olds carry all for everything. From play food to My Little Ponys to book, she loves her basket. I would recommend this set for any mom looking for a new toy for their childs play kitchen or something fun for outside play. Its also gender neutral which is nice! I received this product to review in exchange for my honest opinion.
