This is a moderately easy set to put together. Some of the pieces are relatively large, such as the cockpit and tail of the plane. My 9-year-old grandson and his mother put it together in about 30 minutes. The design is flawless, just as youd expect from the Lego brand. There are a lot of details, but my grandson especially liked the water bombs that are held in the cargo area. This set is a good value for the money and great fun for the kiddos. My daughter suggests this set is for 9 years and older. Otherwise, there will be more hands-on with a parent for the assembly.

My son is 3 and he loves to do Legos with us as a group project. It allows for bonding and conversation we might not have otherwise. This was a great set, it allows for role play and helps boost imagination too.

My 8 year old son got this and put it together in an hour or so. Its a great looking firefighting plane that dumps lego water on a flaming forest. Easy from an assembly standpoint and fun to play with as well.

This plane kit has a compartment that you can fill with the included translucent blue pieces, and dump them like water to put out your lego ‘fire’. It’s fun, the kid loves it, but it makes a mess and you will never, ever find them all again.

My 9yo is a LEGO pro, basically. He took a little over an hour to complete this set and was fascinated (as ever) with the movable features. He really liked the water-dropper on the underbelly of the plane. The trees have a Minecraft-esk feel to them and add a nice touch. It has now joined his LEGO land.

I dont know what kid doesnt love Legos and this set is yet another one amid many little boys and even girls will find themselves enjoying not only putting together but also playing with after. This set lives up to the Lego quality we expect.

I havent met a LEGO set that I dont like. I like this one. I like the seaplane with the dual propellers. I also like that it has 3 LEGO City minifigures: a pilot and 2 firefighter figures. The trees are nice too. Especially the skunk burrow and the additional skunk figure. The water is plastic and drops from the plane. Very cute.

Help the firefighters protect the forest critters of LEGO City with the exciting 60217 Fire Plane set, featuring a dual-propeller firefighting plane with pontoons, detachable minifigure cockpit, hatch on top to load the water elements and a lever to drop them. This rescue building toy set also includes a fire buggy with new-for-January-2019 3-shot stud shooter, plus 2 trees, 3 minifigures and a skunk figure
