> 3 dayThis is a great LEGO set. It was fairly easy to build, without being boringly easy! It has been added to my growing LEGO city, where it fits in well. The quality is as you would expect, exceptional! The documentation is simply perfect. Ther fun? OPngoing! So be the best parent, aunt or uncle (or other relatives of friend) and give the gift that you know they will love, and go back to time and again.

> 3 dayThis set is a bit pricey, but overall has great play features. For example, the fire on the tree can be removed easily to put it out. Water can be dropped from the plane. It has 3 minis and 2 vehicles and a lot of specialized pieces (probably why the price is a bit higher).

> 3 dayMy 9yo is a LEGO pro, basically. He took a little over an hour to complete this set and was fascinated (as ever) with the movable features. He really liked the water-dropper on the underbelly of the plane. The trees have a Minecraft-esk feel to them and add a nice touch. It has now joined his LEGO land.

> 3 dayGood medium sized set. Took about 45 minutes. Good minifigs and the airplace is really neat once complete. Good set to add to City.

Greater than one weekThis is a moderately easy set to put together. Some of the pieces are relatively large, such as the cockpit and tail of the plane. My 9-year-old grandson and his mother put it together in about 30 minutes. The design is flawless, just as youd expect from the Lego brand. There are a lot of details, but my grandson especially liked the water bombs that are held in the cargo area. This set is a good value for the money and great fun for the kiddos. My daughter suggests this set is for 9 years and older. Otherwise, there will be more hands-on with a parent for the assembly.

> 3 dayThis plane kit has a compartment that you can fill with the included translucent blue pieces, and dump them like water to put out your lego ‘fire’. It’s fun, the kid loves it, but it makes a mess and you will never, ever find them all again.

Greater than one weekWhen I asked my daughter and her boyfriend to build this Lego set they looked at me with huge eyes of anticipation. He wants to be a fireman and is in college taking courses related to this future career. So what could be better encouragement than a LEGO City Fire Plane!! After teasing the kids a bit, and shaking the box (best sound ever is when you shake a Lego box), we got started on the adventure. Every. Moment. Enjoyable! Building it was super stimulating and fun! But then photographing it for social media photos (did I mention I have teenagers) expanded the experience As you can see from these amazing photos we have some fantastic social media moments and memories of the LEGO City Fire Plane too! On those challenging days of college courses, the red fire plane speaks back to the heart: you can do this! Fly your dream.

> 3 dayLEGO is well known as unparalleled quality, and this set lives up to all expectations. It’s so detailed and it sets imaginations free with playability. Typically, my son LOVES BUILDING these sets, but some times the play fizzles out after that. Not the case with this set, it has a wonderfully fun “water” feature that dumps LEGO “water droplets” on pretend fires from the belly of the plan. With this kid, it’s brought a new level of imagination and fun to his existing LEGO city, now buildings get set ablaze, and the fire and police are quick to respond. It’s added hours of replay ability to his other sets. Quality: A+ Design: A + Price: B Overall: A

Greater than one weekMy kids have recently really started getting into Lego and while they love to tinker about and make their own creations, they and I both love when they get a new kit and make a designed creation. First, they are exercising some visual spatial skills in looking back and forth between the instructions and the actual design they are forming in front of them and checking for accuracy. Finding the correct pieces among the array is also a good skill (ask any mom whose kids cant ever find their library book or their baseball glove). The instructions are illustrated, not written, so it will appeal to a wide segment of kids irrespective of reading ability. And they are very easy to follow. My 6 year old has taken to it quite quickly (Ill admit that my now 12 year old was older before she could do them, so you have to know your own child). The completed pieces are usually displayed in our house for a week before they are dissembled and added to the bin for other creative engineering builds. Be aware of particularly small pieces in this set. The quality of Lego is fantastic, as expected, and the attention to detail they put into these jets are marvelous. Best of all, Lego retain good value down the road, so even when the kids have grown out of them, you can easily rehome these toys.
