LEGO Creator Expert Volkswagen Beetle 10252 Construction Set (1167 Pieces)

Another great Lego kit. This is marked expert, 16+ but my 14 year old daughter completed it in about 2 days without issue. Im not complaining, she liked it but dont get this thinking it will be a week long build process. Most kids should get it done very easily. We are shopping for another kit with closer to 2000 pieces.

I am relatively new to the Lego family (although my older son has been building sets for years and was a big influence on me to start building)...In my youth (68 yrs. old) I would spend hours upon hours of building, painting, etc. plastic models of all kinds of things...but cars models were my favorite..believing I am still good with my hands, so it seems that I would start with a medium size build (1,167 parts)... What a blast! it definitely brought me back to my youth...the attention to detail is remarkable...it was an approximately a 9 hour build (quarantined and doing it like a puzzle - passing it and doing a small section at a time)...the build difficulty was on a 3 level...I have ordered the light package (through Brick Tool) and cant wait until it comes to put a finishing touch on this build... Needless to say, I hooked and already on the slippery slope of Legos...no surprise here...I have 3 additional big builds on the way...

I gave this as a gift and the person loves VW Bugs. Said the Lego version looks real similar to the VW Bug that they own.

When my husband was a young child living in England, his parents had a car very similar to this one. I bought him this kit as a Christmas gift. Building Lego structures can be a great way for adults to unwind and detach from the stresses of the world. He seemed to enjoy building it quite a lot. He now features the model on our bookshelves. It is an item of interest and brings back great childhood memories for him. The reason for 4 stars is a couple of small pieces were missing. As Lego enthusiasts know, it can be easy for small pieces to disappear. However, my husband is quite a meticulous person. Although anything is possible, Im pretty sure a couple of small pieces were missing. Haha, but I actually think he enjoyed having to get creative to solve the problem so it wasnt evident on the exterior of the model.

Outstanding kit, quality as expected of Lego. I really appreciate the little touches that bring out the charm of the original VW, while adding the charm of Lego.
