> 3 dayMy 2 year old granddaughter loves this set. Not only does she have fun with the different pieces: trees, icebergs - she loves the animals. Its a fun set. As she grows the map will also add to the enjoyment of deciding where the animals belong on earth.

> 3 dayWhen I ordered this I expected it to come in a little 12x13 box at the most the box it came in was at least 24x30 and it was filled with as many legos. All of the different assemblies came in the own separate bags inside the box. The animals had no bags. The map is a world map that has a picture of where each animal is from which makes it slightly more educational than some Lego sets. So far I have noticed no rough edges or flaws that make these Lego duplos difficult to use. This would make a great gift for a little one who loves to build or loves animals.

> 3 dayThis is a MASSIVE set. I did not expect it to be this large. I know its only 142 pieces but opening it up, it just feels so much as all the pieces are varied and theres so many animals. There is a fantastic variety of wildlife, fauna, and scenes. Of course, as it is a Duplo, all the shapes are kid friendly, large and easy to hold. The animals and all the pieces are well made and I gotta say, the animals are SO CUTE. The set does come with a playmat that depicts the world as you can place the animals in its habitats. I do wish the playmat is made of a more durable material however. Its made of (I think?) cardstock, thicker than your average paper, almost like a greeting card, or maybe two greeting cards glued atop of one another. My toddler loves it and I love the educational factor of this as we can go around the world exploring all its different animals. I chose not to bring out the entirety of the set cause its HUGE! Everytime we play, I would bring out a specific set of animals in that part of the world and we learn who lives where. This does break up the play a bit and make it a bit more interesting (and educational!) All in all, its an amazing set and yes it IS expensive, but youre getting that Lego/Duplo quality.

> 3 dayI will have to post more pictures once we have gotten more pieces put together, but my kids absolutely love the set! It comes in a really big box, so if you were thinking of giving for Christmas this would be a cool toy for a kid to open. There’s instructions on how to build every piece, and my six-year-old is really into it! Our toddler mostly just takes it apart, but that’s the fun right? I would definitely recommend this! I really like the map that it comes with as well, I think the ideas that you build the character sets and then place them on the map.

> 3 dayThis is a really cute Duplo set. The trees, the animals, the noise… it’s so fun. My toddler is thrilled with this. I can imagine most toddlers would be over the moon to get this as a gift. This is a unique Duplo set - focused mainly on the animals. I’d like a few more habitat pieces, but we do have a zoo set that will be fun to use in conjunction with this. The set is really big, one of the largest Duplo sets I have ever seen. It’s going to be a lot of fun for my kiddos. As always, I cannot give five stars because of the price. LEGO has, in my opinion, priced out average families. This is very expensive.

> 3 dayThis is a wonderful Duplo wild animal set! When it arrived it was much bigger than I expected. Tons of bags inside, it was super fun taking everything out and exploring each bag and everything in them. The set comes with a large background mat that stands up and explores the different countries of the world. This set is great because it has animals and environments from around the world. It was very easy to set up and all of the pieces worked very well together. Personally, I really like the different trees with all the holes inside for animals and different building possibilities. I love using building sets in my classroom and I couldn’t wait for the kids to try out this set. It didn’t disappoint because the kids couldn’t get enough of building animals and all the environments. Lots of animals and lots of pieces made this an instant hit in my classroom. Even more fun is how kids of all ages enjoy playing with this. It is the perfect mix of play and building. This set is really well made and I have no doubt that it will last for a very long time. Overall, this is a wonderful building set and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

> 3 dayIf I had to use one word to describe this set, itd be massive. If I had 2 itd be massive and overwhelming. Theres a lot going on. This is like going to a vegas buffet for the first time. So many animals, trees, scenery, large blocks, flowers! There are other duplo sets with animals, like the safari elephant/giraffe one. For reference, the animals in those sets are the baby versions of the animals in this set. There are just...so many pieces. Ive always wondered what this much money in a duplo set gets you. Its.. a lot. So I like that they give you enough to have every set built at the same time. The tree pieces are not shared, and you dont have to tear down one to build another (looking at you, 3 in 1s). I like how much larger these animals are, and how many there are. Great variety around the world, but I feel like we could do without a duplicate penguin and get like... a kangaroo or something to go with the koala. The noise block (only one) makes background noises like jungle, monkey calls, etc. The tree pieces are really big and impressive. A few things that I thought were not great moves by Lego- The playmat is the same as the others you find in these animal sets- about as thick and sturdy as a nice christmas card. That means if it got wet, itd get ruined. And if you have a 2-3 year old... everything gets damaged. Wish they could have invested a little more and made it cloth or something sturdier like that. Some of the playsets look a little sad.. not in a low quality way, but like a story way. Like the polar bear on a tiny ice platform. We know global warming is here, I dont want to be reminded of it when playing with my toddler. Theres also a set with a Koala on a tree on a small island... with a crocodile at the bottom. Theres an emphasis on story telling or crafting a story with these. Im not a big fan of this because Im too tired of crafting stories. My kiddo is just getting the regular Lego experience. Im not creating fan fiction or reenacting Mufasas death with these pieces. Fun fact though, theres an adult lion and lion cub in here. No wildebeest though. Anyway, this is truly an impressive set. A few gripes but no deal breakers. This would be an amazing gift, but will use a lot of gift wrap. My toddler and I played with this for an hour and still havent opened all the bags. Would be 6 stars if it were possible, but since 5s the limit, 5 stars it is.

> 3 dayThis playset is a lot bigger than I expected, but Im disappointed by the fact that there is only one soundbrick for the entire set. My 4 year old loves to match the animals to their respective places on the map, but not all animals are pictured on the map (which can lead to a meltdown for someone with autism). Aside from only one brick out of the lot that plays any sound, I thought that the map could be a more durable material (like felt?) instead of the thick paper map included. It tends to wear out at the folds and rips easily. For the cost, Id expect more. Some of the animals have movement, like necks, arms and legs - so its nice that not everything is a static piece. The structures were easy to assemble and directions were clear. I would also recommend hanging onto the booklet so you can reconstruct everything that your kid either destroyed, or what disassembles during storage.
