Another winner from LEGO. My 8 year old nephew loves this set so much because he’s a big Harry Potter fan. Just like your typical LEGO quality with easy to follow instructions. Excellent gift for your LEGO and Harry Potter fans out there. Super fun set. Highly recommended.

First set for Deathly Hallows, Part 1! This set is so much fun! High quality Ministry of Magic Lego set comes with 990 pieces, nine mini figures (some exclusive to this set) and lots of fun details. The building itself is a little bit repetitive, and for the price point I expected the set to be bigger, but it can be easily incorporated into other builds. It was perfect for my 11 year olds to work on even if it wasn’t that complicated. The buildings did feel a little less sturdy than other Lego sets we’ve completed and overall this set does not disappoint.

I was actually really impressed with how much detail and thought went into designing this set. The rooms, decorations, even the fireplaces which eject like trap doors (to sort of simulate how they are used as entrances) are really thought of and full of little details. This is one of those things that the more of a fan you are, the more little details youll notice. My daughter picked on the fact that some of the lego faces which can be reversed to be different characters, actually have some connection to the person on each side. For example, our heroes reverse face are the people they turned into with Polyjuice potion in the story. I had completely forgotten those details in the story. This is just wonderfully creative and fun, another winner from Lego.

Generic blocks cannot live up to the quality of a Lego brick. The prices of these things can be daunting, but this set comes with a decent number of figures and plenty of room for imaginative play. My sons are obsessed with Harry Potter. I got this for my 7-year-olds birthday, but even my 17-year-old was impressed with the details.

This is a nice LEGO set, as expected, and it’s priced comparatively lower than other sets that I’ve gotten recently based on piece count. It’s not a difficult build, so it’s suitable for younger builders. The minifig assortment is nice, and I hadn’t expected some details, like many different colored wands. That was a nice little touch. The buildings are kind of repetitive. It would have been nice to have more variation on the exteriors, but it looks nice when assembled. The moving features are pretty neat. This is a great kit for any Potter fan, and it would make a great gift. Each of the rooms are modular and are lightly affixed together, so you can mix and match the layout.

Im not the Harry Potter nerd of the family; so I let my wife build this set. She doesnt build Lego sets too often, but she didnt find it overly difficult. She said it was simple but a bit repetitious. There was a certain character she said that she hated was included and that any true Harry Potter fan would understand. The whole build took her about five hours. Each section had a similar structure, but were interesting in how they set up different scenes and had different accessories for each office/room. My wife thought the whole thing was cool how it fits together and how you can switch the layout and rearrange the rooms easily. She especially had fun using the fireplace trapdoor to disappear figures. I think there was that certain one that she made permanently disappear. Overall, I think this was a great set for a Harry Potter fan of any age. It comes with a fair amount of play and a good number of figures for a set at this price point.

My 9 year old is a huge LEGO fan and just starting to get into the Harry Potter series. My Mother (60+) is a big Harry Potter fan and this set amazed all of us. I love the amount of detail the set had. The 9 minifigures are great and my kid loves sets that come with more than 2 so he was very pleased getting 9. This is also one of the first sets I have seen that is modular and you can build it / display it as either a big tower or side by side (just look at the pictures and it will make sense). Kiddo took his time building it and admiring each little section and this took him about 3 hours and he had a blast, so definitely worth the $$ in my opinion!

Were fans of Lego and Harry Potter (we have several other previous sets). So I was excited to add the Ministry of magic to the collection. The instructions can be used to build it as a two or three story building. While the three story is more movie accurate, its more stable and easier to play with as a two story building. Im surprised this set is almost 1,000 pieces- it really feels like a smaller set with not much going on. Compared to other Potter buildings (like Diagon Alley and Hogwarts), it feels like Lego really provided the bare minimum for the Ministry. The best part of the set are the minifigures, a few of which were new to us, including the patronus.
