LEGO Ideas NASA Apollo Saturn V 21309 Outer Space Model Rocket for Kids and Adults, Science Building Kit (1969 Pieces) (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

I was considering an actual Saturn V model for a while, but Im not really into the painting aspect of those. So glad this came around just as I was looking for a model of my favorite rocket. It was a pleasure to put together over the course of a few nights. Wonderfully detailed and the extras really make it worth the money, including the awesome instruction book.

The set is excellent. Definitely a eye pleaser. The complexity of the set is very good and it is well built. You can play with it with your kids too, but its not really a playing set like your normal lego sets. One thing though (not against the set), the Lego box (Not the amazon box) I received from Amazon was obviously rammed with a fork lift and it had a big hole in the side. One of the bags that holds the legos was punctured and the legos were floating around in the lego box. I built the set promptly to see if any of the pieces were missing or damaged. Luckily, all were accounted for and none were damaged. I think it took me about 6 to 8 hours to build.

I was actually shopping for a different LEGO set, but decided to get this instead, and Im extremely, extremely glad I did. This is the first LEGO set Ive put together in over 30 years, so Im very much a beginner. Having said that, and taking my time assembling, it took about 4 hours. The finished product is very sturdy, and the internal structure is really complex. Great job, LEGO!

It is everything I hoped it would be. Well worth the hours I spent assembling it.

The product was great...who can go wrong with Legos., but I payed an inflated price. These items should not be scalped just because of popularity.

Had to pay a premium for this retired lego set but we got for my sons middle school graduation as he is a big lego aficionado. He out it together in about 3 days and it is an amazing set.
