> 3 dayFirst off, dont let the title scare you, its a great deal. The screen, unlike previous iterations, is gorgeous for the price - crisp and detailed. You can probably find the specs elsewhere complaining about SRGB coverage, but for the average user, sub $500, its great. Seems like it gets close to 300 nits, definitely bright enough indoors. Keyboard is very nice, not MacBook Air or the like, but very close - much better than Acer/Asus/Samsung. Trackpad along the same lines, very good overall, if you really want to nitpick, the clicking of it wasnt the best on the edges for right/left click. Sound was decent, definitely a laptop speaker and does not get too loud. Fan noise isnt noticeable unless youre used to absolute quiet, the fans spun up under load when setting things up and windows updates, quiet and not grating on the ears. Build quality wont wow anyone at the coffee shop but the plastic resembles brushed metal and its appealing over, say, the millionth grey laptop. Moderately serviceable under the hood, with one ram stick being soldered on (4 gb). Ignore the other reviews bashing Amazons delivery service instead of the product itself, this is a sleeper Windows laptop. Highly recommended for research/browsing, writing, and light gaming. Ive actually gone into the BIOS and unlocked the processor to get full access to the performance of the 5500u and its impressive, Ive run Diablo 2 Resurrected at a very playable (although not great) frame rate and even managed some Halo Infinite at 30fps at lowest settings. By no means would I buy this laptop to game unless its older games or Esports, but it is possible to punch above its weight, which is a huge bang for your buck.

> 3 dayI have not seen this mentioned, the SD card sticks out 1/2 way when inserted, so needs to be removed or risk breaking it when moving. Windows experience index numbers were very impressive for the money. Upgraded the 256 GB drive to a terabyte very happy with the purchase.

> 3 dayDo not under any circumstances purchase a Lenovo laptop this one in particular didn’t even last a full year four days before the one-year warranty was up the laptop began crashing would not stay charged and after four months of talking with Lenovo directly they had my laptop sent out for a repair when it returned it was in the same condition with the same issues they do not care and they will not help you and this laptop will not last

> 3 dayBought this for my 16 year old that wanted to switch to PC gaming. He loves it! The battery lasts a great amount of time and he has had zero issues so far.

> 3 dayLoving this laptop so far. Ratings gave me an option for touch screen but this is not a touchscreen laptop. Everything runs fast and efficient. Screen quality is better than expected. I am running windows 11 though I believe that’s optional. Super easy to set up. Customizable. Back lit keyboard. Got this for a small e-commerce business but will be enjoying light gaming and streaming with it as well.
