Lexar JumpDrive V100 32GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive, Gray (LJDV100-32GABNL)

I have dozens of flash drives from several different manufacturers, but I use a Lexar for my Windows 10 USB installer, because its the one that gives me the least problems when Im creating the boot drive. Its been reliable for years and I expect the V100 will be as well. The performance of the V100 actually shocked me. I was expecting much slower sequential read/write speeds than what I tested. As you can see from the Blackmagic speedtest screenshot, the Lexar V100 64GB drive read at 144 MB/s and wrote at 99 MB/s. Thats great in my book! The weird thing about the design of the V100 is that the cap slides onto the back of the drive, but it doesnt snap on. Its all loose, so theres no point. My other Lexar has a sliding cap, which is more convenient, but I dont mind caps and havent lost one yet. As long as you dont need a super durable, cap-securing flash drive, the V100 is a great buy. It looks simple, is very affordable, and has great performance.

Fast data transfer. It is the size of your thumb. Love the added cover/protector. Lots of space for the price. You can hook it on your key loop as well.

This is an easy to use thumb drive with fast speeds and it feels sturdy in hand. There is a removable cap to keep the USB connector safe but the cap detaches so its also easy to lose. Definitely worked great for my on the go storage needs.

This is by far the highest capacity jump drive that I own. Its transfer rate is nice too. The only problem is I tend to lose the cap and end up finding it later. This has been a blessing when getting todays larger files between computers when wi-fi isnt available.

I really this this flash drive which meets my needs of being big enough to store picture files and move them easily. This flash drive has a plastic cap that to cover the port part of the flash drive which is a bit different from retractable flash drives. I like this better as I think it offers more protection for the part that goes into the USB port. The plastic cap fits securely but is still easy to pull on and off. The plastic on the drive and the plastic cap each have a small raised arrow so they are easy to align with each other. The only trick is keeping track of the cap when the flash drive is in use. I think this is a great value for a good chunk of transferable storage. My rating is 5 stars.

I really like the design and performance. If I had to complain about anything... the cap will slide onto the back end when in use, but it is not overly secure, Im afraid it will fall off and get lost so I just set it aside in a good place. Given that, the drives are identical without the colored cap so you have to keep track of which is which. For me, if thats all I have to complain about, this is an excellent product. I have already made a repeat purchase and will buy again if I need any more flash drives.
