> 3 dayThe video above cracks me up, as if all the cool kids use thumb drives. Nope, they all use the cloud and have no regard for privacy or security of their personal data. Not being credulous enough to trust the cloud with any of my own sensitive information, I prefer a hardware based solution. Being old enough to appreciate my own mortality and being a physician who knows how difficult it can be to make assessments in a vacuum, I carry this one with me travelling as convenient storage for my medical history, emergency contacts and advanced care directive. Ive had good luck with Lexar memory products over the years. They may not always be cutting edge in terms of specs but theyve been reliable, economically priced and performed well in my applications. This unit is no exception and at the price is a good value.

> 3 dayI copied a folder of mixed file sizes to and from my laptop. Read speed for this USB drive is actually pretty nice taking seconds but, sadly, the write speed is frustratingly slow for a USB3 storage device taking around two or three minutes for 3.5GB. Not impressed at all. I have much faster drives.

> 3 dayThese are exactly what I wanted however one of the drives does not function consistently, I have tried it on multiple machines and still the same result. This lowers my confidence in the two that work. so these will just be used for quick file transfers and not for long term storage.

> 3 day2020 being what it is, I dont see as many people as I used to but I still have to exchange data in bulk with some of them. To do this, I really need flash drives. I was offered this one, and I had to get it. This flash drive wont break any speed records and is a bit slower than my other USB3.0 flash drives, but at only $12, it is ideal for sharing files with others on the off-chance that you dont get it back. It has a removable (i.e. lose-able) plastic cap, there isnt a key-chain loop, and it certainly doesnt encrypt the data. The fact is, I mostly use a flash drive to get data from here to there and this is perfect for that. Buy half a dozen for the office and stop wasting time looking for a free flash drive. Highly recommend for what it is.
