> 3 dayI would give this a ZERO if possible. Very frustrating interface. The instructions are worthless. Does not give you any guidance on how to connect/stream from a device. I simply wanted to use this for presentations and maybe some movies. The picture may be okay but I cannot tell you because all I have seen is the menu. It does not recognize Apple products even when connected to the USB. I understand you need to get an app for iOS, but it has horrible reviews. The PowerPoint only gives you an option to play presentation. You cannot control when to advance a slide. It just advances the slides at its own pace. There is nothing simple about this. When I connected my iPad it would only give you an option to view picture files and it was VERY slow to even do this. You cannot simply connect your iPhone or iPad and play a movie or mirror you screen. This is absolutely horrible and would not recommend to anyone. Also, I have an LG TV and I realized the remote was controlling both the projector and the TV at the same time. I cannot express how frustrating this thing is!!!!!

> 3 dayThis is my third LG projector and this one doesnt disappoint. Stepping up from a LG PW800 800 Lumens 720p projector, the first thing you notice is the true HD detail. Colors are beautiful, text is crisp and even though this one is listed at 600 lumens, it is brighter. It also has a shorter throw, which is an added bonus. Bluetooth connected to my 5.1 surround sound system indoors, and to my outside speaker on the patio, both with excellent sound and no lag. The LG WebOS is nice, but the apps are limited. You get the basic ones, or can download, like Hulu, Netflix and Youtube, but dont expect much more....like VLC player. This is instantly fixed by adding my Amazon firestick. Fine tuning is done on top of the projector. The slider does have some give making it a little harder to focus where my last projector had a nice stiff slider making it easier to fine tune. It is nothing major, just wanted to point it out. Other things to note; the projector is light (great for portability) and the remote works great. There is lots of fine tuning options (color, contrast, sound input options, connecting phones, computers, etc.) Address some of the previous reviews, this projector does have fine tuning for color/contrast/brightness options, or you can just use the presets. I swear, people dont read their manuals before posting reviews. It also has a zoom option....right on the remote. It is watchable with lit windows on either side of the screen, but works best in darkened rooms. Not for full-on sunny rooms. The added TV Tuner is why I always choose LG....highly recommend this projector. No regrets.

> 3 dayI decided on 3 stars. On some facets its 5 stars, and others its 1 star. My main reason for 1 star is that it doesnt support apple airplay. I want a portable projector that I can stream from my iPhone. So if you have an iPhone, you cant use this, so... 1 star. But I love the USB-C port. Video/Audio/Charging all with one cable! That is the future and Im sure new projectors in the future will mainly use the USB-C port. 5 stars. Brightness. Yes better than many portables, but still only good in a dark room. Why cant projectors fix this problem? 1 star. Speaker. surprise... 5 stars! Yes, probably one of the worst speakers out there, but who cares. I have my bluetooth speaker thats great on the go that no other projector speaker can touch. And for home I bluetooth stream to my soundbar. I would be fine with no built in speaker at all. Form factor. Cant decide. I think I like it flat like it is compared to the boxy of others. 1 or 5 stars. Remote. 1 star. I dont want to carry around a 1990s remote. sorry. I hope LG continues improving this version and sets its own design rather than copying others. Overall I think this is close. Just wish they would add the apple airplay and then I wouldnt have had to return it.

> 3 dayThe product is awesome, the only thing that i wasn’t totally satisfied was the brightness, but since is only 600 lumens I guess it is expected. However still very good

> 3 dayVery impressed with this projector. I debated getting another big screen tv or going with a projector in family room. Glad I went with this LG projector with an 80 inch screen. Have it ceiling mounted and using bluetooth to my Vizio soundbar system. Was worried about 1080p vs 4k but you cant tell a difference from 10ft away viewing. It has nice bright colors and contrast. The black scenes look better than expected. It does help to put in a darker light controlled room. The picture doesnt get bright enough in a brighter room. The menu settings are easy to navigate. I am using standard picture mode setting with color temp on warm for movies and tv. Energy saving on medium. The fan is really quiet with that setting. Vivid and sports mode also looks nice with really bold and bright colors if you like the picture brighter. The speaker is very weak sounding but does ok in a pinch. I would use a soundbar. I havent noticed any audio sync issues with bluetooth. For the price with having an led bulb with wifi and bluetooth its a great deal. I like that its portable in case I decide to take it outside. If you want to go big and not spend a ton of money for a large tv this is the way to go.

> 3 dayI have a love/hate relationship with this projector. The picture quality is amazing for its super portable size. Its really the only one of its kind that I know of (full 1080p battery powered with smart features). The battery life however is just ok. You might be able to get through a movie if you have it set to the highest power saving setting but its definitely under 2 hours in the normal power mode. It can charge via USB which is great, but it uses the battery faster than it can charge on USB so that can only extend your time another hour or so. There is no zoom function so the screen size is based on how far the projector is from the wall/screen. It does have auto keystone adjustment which is nice. The interface could definitely use some improvement and it has some bugs that can make it very frustrating to use. For one, I primarily use the USB input for playing files offline from a USB flash drive. The projector will often have trouble reading files/folders on the flash drive. It will work fine at first, play a video, then you go back to play another video and it says the file/folder doesnt exist. You then have to eject and reinsert the USB flash drive (sometimes a few times) for it to work again. Ive had this same issue with several flash drives including a brand new one so I know its not the drive itself. Also, it always wanted to default to the TV tuner input when I dont have a USB flash or HDMI cable plugged in. This is super annoying because you just get a screen of white noise and loud static when it selects the TV tuner as input. It would be nice if you could disable the TV tuner for this reason but you cant. This last weekend I forgot the remote for the projector. but you should be able to still control it using the navigation buttons on top of the projector, but I found another bug. If you select the USB flash drive with the onboard navigation, it wont let you select any of the files. For some reason the left/right navigation buttons (the only way to select files) controls the volume instead of letting you navigate through the files. In other words, you cant play any files on a USB flash drive without the remote. I was able to find a workaround by using the LG TV plus app on my android phone as a remote control, but this brings up another annoyance. The LG TV Plus app only works if you have both the phone and the projector connected to the same wifi network. This can be a problem if you are somewhere without wifi. Also, the projector doesnt seem to save the password for wifi so you have to tell it to connect each time. It seems like you should be able to control it over bluetooth with the app instead of wifi when you are on the road. Anyway, it definitely could use a firmware update to resolve some of these bugs. I would up my rating to 5 stars if they fixed these issues.

> 3 dayI bought this and was at first thrilled with it’s performance and as a projector it is great! However, I soon discovered not only is this not really compatible with any apple products (computers, tablets, or phones), or most mobiles without purchasing a $20 app (twice which I’ll elaborate on later), the LG smart tv Software didn’t support Prime Video and several other streaming apps I wanted. So no way to watch without hooking up a laptop or phone, both of mine are Apple so no dice. For the price they really need to update their software to be more compatible and expand their app market place. Also for projecting from mobile it encourages you to buy an LG app on Mobile, which costs $20 one time. Not bad, but when it didn’t work it encouraged me to buy another app again for $20, which ultimately was a clone of the previous app, also did not work on my iPhone. I asked multiple times for a refund, never got a response from either apps’ help desk. $40 in for two defunct versions of the same app.

> 3 dayFirst time purchasing a projector. Got this, along with a screen, to set up in the backyard for movie night or events. It works great, the fan is pretty quiet, and the app options are decent. This needs to be used in a very dark room, or outside after it is almost completely dark out. This mid-level projector is not bright enough for anything else. Now, once in a dark place, the picture is great and pretty easy to bring into focus with the sliding lever. You will want to get external speakers for a good experience. The on-board speaker is probably meant to be used for a short office presentation, not movies or sports.. I tried to hook up Bluetooth speakers for stereo sound, but I couldnt get the sound and video to link up, even when using the delay feature to try to help. It is a cool feature they included, and maybe it was just my speakers as an issue. I just hook up a Bose speaker via 3.5mm connection and it works perfect. The USB and HDMI options are nice. The on-board apps are nice, but I like to hook up my FireTV stick to have all my streaming options available. The USB slot will power the FireTV stick fine. I have not tested battery length, because I use it for long periods that I know I need external power. Overall, very happy using this as outdoor entertainment or as a 2nd TV projected onto the wall inside the house (in a darker room) to watch more than one game.

> 3 dayThe LG PF50KA is the best portable projector today as its the only lightweight real 1080p projector with a built in OS (Web OS) from LG. The battery life may not be that long but using a jackery battery pack makes all sense. Plug in a 4tb portable drive on its USB port and it will pay almost everything (including those complex mkv movie files). I currently own an LG HU80KA and while its not Laser, this native 1080p LG PF50KA provides almost the exact quality sans the high lumens output of its big brother. To me, the portability it offers is its best quality. I bring this projector 100% of the time at work for presentations and for my kids supply of 100 inch netflix anywhere. Paired this with a bose soundlink revolve+ and/or B&O Beoplay A1 and this one rocks!
