> 24 hourWe spent 9 months trying to decide on a good projector for backyard summer time use. We waffled between inexpensive ($150 or less) but worried about brightness vs expensive ($1000 or more). Finally settled on this for a mid range $566. We love it. It has plenty of connection ports (HDMI ARC, HDMI2, Audio, and more) but also streams via wi-fi and connects via Bluetooth. Just did a trial run in our backyard, and it exceeded our expectations for brightness and clarity on a 150 backyard screen. We are really looking forward to backyard use this summer. One drawback is its lack of ability to stream Disney or Amazon. It does have Netflix and Hulu already loaded though. After looking it up, I am reading that very few LG devices are capable of streaming Disney. We are happy enough with the ease of use, portability, and picture quality, that we will keep it and find another way to stream those services to it when needed. (Xbox, firestick, etc.)

> 24 hourSo far the best image quality I have found in its class. I’ve tested around 5 top projectors including the Kodak Luma and more ranging from $129-$600. I’m also a photographer and the image quality in this is great. Contrast could be better but I honestly haven’t adjusted the settings to see if that can be better. It doesn’t do Airplay or any decent screen sharing with ALL Apple devices so that sucks. Also no Netflix app and the UI is overly complex. The screen is very bright even in a well lit room. (Well enough to cook.) Screen is smaller than most. Smallest of all I’ve tested. Still large but 2/3rds of the average screen size. It’s about the size of a box of granola bars (best I could do, hey). Nice that it has USB power share. Auto Keystone is decent. Not the most responsive I’ve seen. If you want super small portable with great picture and sufficient light in dark settings get the Kodak Luma 350 or even better the 450. This is the most intuitive, convenient projector I’ve seen also with a great image. The 200 lumens is more than sufficient in dark settings but very inadequate in any other setting with ambient light. For a muchhh brighter and better image at the cost of user interface (no Airplay), size and convenience get the LG. Rather pricey and basically you’re just paying for a brighter image. Do you really watch the projector during the day. Curious about the WeMax but so far these off-brands have had subpar image quality all around.

> 24 hourSo far I love this projector. I am not very tech savvy to be fair . I’ve had no issues using it with my Nintendo switch , my iPad , my iPhone ... picture is outstanding. Easy to set up.

> 24 hourTo preface this review, this is my first time owning a projector. Overall, im pleased with my purchase of this. If you can catch this on sale then dont hesitate...its still a solid buy at full price but if I had to do it again, I might have waited and spent more on a higher end projector. Its small but mighty. A great thing about it is that it does not take up much space at all, so you can put it anywhere. Also, the built in battery makes it nice in case you decide to go mobile or have a power outage. There are two HDMI ports on the back of the unit which is nice. While im using both, you do have the option to use the imbedded apps in the home menu so you can really maximize what you do/dont need. If youre any type of an audiophile, the built in speaker is not going to be enough. I added an external pc speaker system to it and can was able to get the type sound I like. Its a 3.5mm jack so find what works for you. So between the external speakers, xbox, and firestick all attached to the projector, I have a lot of wires. Luckily my coffee table (which I cut a hole in) is low enough to hide the wires and powerstrip from view, but high enough to have everything plugged in. I wish the picture was brighter. For a projector thats not 4k, I think the level of detail is absolutely fantastic. Its not hard to see intricate detail at all, and makes for one heck of a movie night. As my primary viewing apparatus, this projector is NOT suited for well lit rooms. My living room gets a lot of bright indirect sunlight, and renders the projector basically useless. The darker you can make the room the better, and the picture above with the most clarity was taken in a completely dark room with no sunlight. The pictures above were taken on the vivid setting, which is the 2nd brightest setting. Anything else below vivid is dark and makes it hard to see. This projector shines with sports and video games. Regular tv/streaming is nice as well, but some of the colors dont look as good as they do for games and sports. If youre looking for your first projector, this is a solid entry level buy.
