> 3 dayWhen they say portable, they really mean portable. This smart projector fits is a one-hander. Its essentially a high definition smart TV in the form of an LED projector. We have it connected to our Fire TV Stick, but there are multiple options for connectivity, including an array of pre-installed services. Its ready to go out of the box. Image quality is phenomenal. Breathtaking. A 100 inch 1080p film (in your living room, or backyard, or anywhere -- its portable) really makes you stop to admire it. Sound is fine -- nothing to rave about, but nothing to complain about either. Bluetooth streaming of audio to better speakers is always an option. The battery only lasts 2.5 hours. Thats probably plenty in most circumstances. Ive yet to need to use the battery. Oh, and the bulb life is rated 30,000 hours. Thats a huge plus as well. Overall, you will be impressed with the clarity and warmth of the image. A dim room works best. Bright lighting or sunlight (even diffuse sunlight) will rob the image of its immediacy. But this is why movie theaters dont have windows.

> 3 dayFirst, I tried multiple lower priced portable projectors and was very, very unhappy with those other choices. This unit I had working in minutes and its menu and setup was very good. Acted just like my LG TV and because LG has licensing rights, you arent redirected to some China site to install very questionable apps to make the unit work. The other units I tried had menus partially in Chinese, required questionable apps that didnt work or they displayed text in Chinese for some of the menus or apps (no English with English selected) and I know a couple loaded tracking software because I ran Wireshark and it was sending data to China. This unit works as I expected. I am giving 4 stars because it works well and the programming is professional, not Chinese junk. I gave it 3 stars for brightness, because I just wont give a higher rating when its not enough for bright rooms. However, they are honest about its brightness and it works in moderate light conditions, and very well in low light. I bought it to project on to canvas for painting and it works great for that can move the unit to the right distance and get just want I want to trace with the image. I found it works so well, I bought a portable big screen and use it in the back yard. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08JTXLBQM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I also intend to take it to the beach to setup music videos while enjoying a campfire on the beach. The Bluetooth to my battery powered speakers works perfect and stays in-sync. Overall, I think this unit is much better than every other similarly priced or lower priced options. Plan to use it for football games this weekend. Didnt buy it for that, but its GREAT. Love the battery option. I also bought a battery powered jump starter/compressor that makes for a great power bank and I use it to extend the battery life. https://www.amazon.com/CAT-Professional-Station-Starter-Compressor/dp/B088RMSXD1 NOTE: I got my jump starter for a much lower price at Costco when it was on sale.

Greater than one weekIt is small easily carried in suitcase or even comiter bag. Image looks good though not sure would go out to full 100 inches as around 72 is most Reason for 4 stars as though comes with LG smart app it does have ability to do amazon as just has Netflix and Hulu which for many will be fine. Not sure why as other LG smart devices do. Ended up returning and getting not smart projector and buying a roku stick

Greater than one weekI decided on 3 stars. On some facets its 5 stars, and others its 1 star. My main reason for 1 star is that it doesnt support apple airplay. I want a portable projector that I can stream from my iPhone. So if you have an iPhone, you cant use this, so... 1 star. But I love the USB-C port. Video/Audio/Charging all with one cable! That is the future and Im sure new projectors in the future will mainly use the USB-C port. 5 stars. Brightness. Yes better than many portables, but still only good in a dark room. Why cant projectors fix this problem? 1 star. Speaker. surprise... 5 stars! Yes, probably one of the worst speakers out there, but who cares. I have my bluetooth speaker thats great on the go that no other projector speaker can touch. And for home I bluetooth stream to my soundbar. I would be fine with no built in speaker at all. Form factor. Cant decide. I think I like it flat like it is compared to the boxy of others. 1 or 5 stars. Remote. 1 star. I dont want to carry around a 1990s remote. sorry. I hope LG continues improving this version and sets its own design rather than copying others. Overall I think this is close. Just wish they would add the apple airplay and then I wouldnt have had to return it.

> 3 dayDecent picture and features. Brightness is barely adequate. The two real issues I have are: 1. Sketchy focus control. If you go a bit too far you cant just come back a bit. This makes it difficult to get right and indicates lack of precision in the mechanism. 2. The lens or its cover seems to be made of plastic or plain glass and is far too easily scratched. I have collected binoculars for decades and know how to safely clean optics. In 3 months I cleaned the lens as many times, blowing dust off the lens then wiping with a damp soapy cloth then wiping dry with a lint free clean lens cloth. Nobody had access to the projector but me. The lens has permanent scratches on it nonetheless. This is not expected of optical glass in a unit in this price range. I have found no information about replacement lenses being available. Customers reading this review will decide for themselves whether thats an issue they need to be concerned about or not, but I have owned close to 200 pairs of binoculars and telescopes, often received used in filthy condition from ebay, and never encountered optical glass so easily damaged. As this is such a critical part, dont know why they cut corners here. Edit: dropping from two stars to one. After 8 months of infrequent use, maybe 100 hrs. Never dropped, its been mounted to a ceiling mount in my minivan- it failed. Power brick is good but shows no charge light on unit which will not power up. 2nd edit: sent in for warranty service. Appears LG sent a new or refurb unit back in its place. Ok with me. 3rd edit. The projector they sent is locked to Korean language, location, and services, and cannot be set to US use. Been back and forth with tech dept, now they are going to RA it for return again. LG seems responsive so Im not mad but this is kinda silly. 4th edit. After the last edit I noticed it suffers from color shifting or instability in imagin

> 3 dayThe picture is great, I like how compact and well designed the exterior of the projector is buttttt…I just about lost my mind trying to set this thing up ( I’m not a pro but I am pretty good at figuring these things out). You have to use mimecast to mirror UNLESS to add a Roku or similar to mirror thru which is almost necessary because the only major streaming apps that you are able to install are Netflix, Hulu, and YouTube??? Doesn’t make since since other smart products they offer have that ability? WTH? Hey, but they do have Tetris and a bunch of other random apps so I guess that makes up for all the trouble? We will never buy another lg anything and may even return this one.

> 3 dayI did a lot of research on portable projectors and this one definitely is the best brightness, best quality for the price range. For everyone getting this projector you need to know two things: 1. Get a usb battery pack to extend battery life of this projector the built in battery is good but not great. 2. Pair with a bluetooth speaker, the built in speaker is crap - I paired mine with bose portable bluetooth speaker and its an amazing combo. I plugged my roku stick into the projector and can play literally anything I want in my backyard on the projector. Highly recommend
