I have a love hate relationship with these light switch extensions. Love: fairly easy to install (remove the bottom screw), easy for my little one to use and makes my little one feel independent. Hate: it is not well made, it makes it very difficult for ME to turn on the light. This item surrounds most of the actual switch, so there is nothing for me to flip. I have to reach down and use the stick to turn on the light. Because of the angle, it keeps rotating (There is a swivel section that allows the extender section to rotate from side to side) and slipping off the switch. It seems to be a design flaw, but I honestly wouldn’t know how to fix it. Would I purchase again? Maybe. I would have to look at the other options and try them out first.

Perfect for my grand kids. We have a hard to reach light switch and now they can turn on and off with ease.

So simple to install (just take off the bottom screw and put it back on with the rectangular piece) and my daughter loves it! Its been about one hour since getting it and such a game changer. She was just potty trained and now she can turn on the bathroom light without assistance. Love the independence it allows.

My wife is wheelchair bound and has been experiencing a gradual loss in her ability to turn raise her arm to turn light switch on/off. This device has worked very well to help her maintain her independence.

I did not buy this for a kid, I bought it because I need to extend a light switch above an appliance. We have a garage fridge, and the best spot for it is right next to the steps leading into the door to the house. However, to fit it in that spot, I had to block the light switch. I left the fridge about 4 inches from the wall, and would carefully reach behind it to turn on the switch, which was a pain. I was going to try to rig up a string or something to make it easier, then figured Id look on Amazon first. Found this and gave it a try. I installed it upside down so it extends upward beyond the top of the fridge. There is a swivel on it, so I put a piece of tape around it to keep it upright and it works perfectly.

Light switch extender- Works perfectly. I got tired of having to fight my echo speaker to get to my garbage disposal switch, with wet hands or otherwise, so I figured Id try this out. So glad I did. I had to install it upside down but it still does exactly what its supposed to. Im not sure what the issue is on other peoples reviews where they say that the long arm swivels bcz mine was sturdy right out of the box & doesnt budge.

Our toddler loves his new independence in being able to turn on the light by himself, and it saves us the trouble of having to stop what we’re doing to just come and do it for him. Made things safer too, as we put one on the light switch at the top of the stairs. He was just tall enough to reach the switch but not without having to lean, reach, and stand on tippy toes. Made me nervous when he would do that at the top of our wooden staircase. So I installed one there and now he can safely turn the light on and off without compromising his stability and safety.

These are such a great invention! We have high light switches and very short children and I was tired of going room to room switching on and off lights. These were the perfect solution! Super easy to install and we have had them up for months with three small boys and they still look brand new!

Works great and allows my 20month old to access the light in his room and playroom.
