It is exactly the same wire as the one you buy from hardware store/welding supplies. Original lincoln wire with plenty of wire. To replace it dont pull the leftover wire in the hose and discard it just pull an inch from the tip of the gun and run the new wire through the hose, this way the new wire pushes the leftover wire in the hose so you can get some extra weld done instead of discarding the 6 or so feet left over wire. For hd lincoln welders this innershield wire is the one to go with, the cheaper ones on the market will give you the crappiest weld and so much headache, get this wire and do the job right. Definitely the only quality wire for hd licoln welder machines. Very convenient since you dont have to go to store to buy it.

think this is the best wire to use all around works excellent on galvanized steel with a lot less splatter than other wires, also works great for rusty metal,have excellent results with a single pass on all metals ,if you want professional results suggest a larger wire feed welder that can use larger wire diameter I use a 135 amp welder 120 volt, have used to build a couple trailers ,bumpers and a truck bed , 3/16 to 1/4 inch steel no problem.
