Liquitex BASICS Acrylic Paint, 250ml (8.5-oz) Tube, Titanium White

I only started painting a year ago, and I tried the “ professional “ brands along with this Liquitex Basics “student brand”. For about a third of what the professional brands cost, I found this paint to be my favorite over all! Creamy and vibrant. I love them!

This is an all time favorite color I use it for everything!!

Okay so, the paint itself is great, it’s black paint. Nice coverage, normal paint stuff. The CAP however is tightened by the damn gods! I had leftover paint I did not use at the end of my project and normally I’d just scoop it back into the tube so it’s not wasted. I TRIED to do this same thing only to have the cap NOT come off but the OTHER end to OPEN and squirt a HUGE glob of paint onto my shirt. Still haven’t gotten the cap off btw. Buy the paint, don’t try and take the cap off. Seriously.

Liquitex Basics Acrylic Paints are my go to brand. Just my tips take it or leave them: I get more black and white acrylic paint and shades of brown green and blue. Orange and Yellows a little less, but always on hand. Red, will last you forever if you are mixing your own colors. So red less and red, although I suppose what you paint makes a difference. I paint portraits and landscapes. All skin colors are ratios of blue, red, and yellow. So learn how to mix colors. Get a fan brush, a palate, and spatula and set of decent brushes. Im not going to say which brand of brushes, because I have my favs from different makers -cheap to expensive. Anyway, you cant go wrong with Liquitex Basics Acrylic paints. The color and texture and drying time is consistent and predictable. Oh, and get a water bottle to keep your palate colors moist. I use the baby food plastic, square containers to keep my mixed colors that I use a lot of for a project. or you can cover your palate with a plastic wrap. Anyway, peace!

I really like this brand

Although the paint may be good the container was delivered damaged. The side was completely cracked and paint was everywhere.

Very decent paint for beginners and pros alike. However, its a good thing I kept my previous jar of white paint. When this current order arrived, while being well wrapped was leaking paint. Amazon would do well to ship and pack such things with a greater care.

The color is paler then what is seen on exterior of bottle

I LOVE THE LIQUITEX PYRROLE RED PAINT IT IS THE BRIGHTEST AND MOST COLORFUL RED THAT I LOVE TO USE WHEN PAINTING PICTURES THAT I WANT TO HAVE A TRUE RED COLOR TONE TO THE PAINTING. MOST RED PAINTS ARE DULL, LIFELESS AND OTHER VARIATIONS OF THE COLOR RED BUT PYRROLE RED IS MY HAPPY RED BECAUSE ITS EXACTLY WHAT I WANT MY RED PAINTINGS TO LOOK LIKE. ITS NOT DULL RED, OFF RED, DARK RED, PINKISH RED ETC ITS JUST A TRUE RED AND THE LIQUITEX PAINT GLIDES SO FREELY AND SMOOTHLY ON MY CANVASES. IVE BEEN PAINTING FOR YEARS AND ALTHOUGH OTHER BRANDS OF ACRYLIC PAINTS HAVE COLOR REDS NONE OF THEM COMES CLOSE TO THE ACTUAL COLOR RED LIKE PYRROLE RED BY LIQUITEX!
