> 3 dayI need to take a break from building this thing... it’s a major pain. I finally got to the steering wheel and IT WONT GO IN I’m ready to throw it out the window. Or contemplating just not putting it on........ even though that’s the one part that makes sound. It’s literally the last step and it’s taken me the longest to do! On trial number 263926402 to get it in. The quality of the assembly sucks. I’d pay a little extra to have it shipped assembled even....... and I’m an engineer! I build things all the time. But this one sucks. It’s a shame because the truck itself is cute and I know these last a long time once assembled usually but I’m not confident in this one. Oh and step 1..... I put the door lock on. It definitely doesn’t work. Luckily my kid is old enough to not throw himself out the side door. Other cozy coupes and vehicles I’ve had the lock work just fine but for this one the door seems off a bit. The lock doesn’t catch the other side to latch. Overall I’m frustrated with this toy. I know if I ever get the stinking steering wheel in my kid will love it..... right now it’s just a big piece of plastic with wheels and cute stickers. Without that steering wheel I know my kid will be bummed.

> 3 dayThe yellow frame didnt fit correctly into the blue base. Trying to push and rotate the piece into the base ended up almost destroying the yellow piece and it doesnt fit into the blue frame at all. Attached pictures show the top fitting, the front right frame piece not fitting into the blue truck base, and the tailgate of the truck not sized right and it doesnt fall into the notch provided to keep closed. My kid has also inadvertently made the door come out of the frame because the plastic it is made of is too easily moldable.

> 3 dayLoved the floor so smaller children couldn’t slide out. It was a bugger to put together. Not nearly as simple as the cozy coupe car.

> 3 dayLiving in MN and having to order stuff in the winter with grants can really suck when the weather is finally nice enough to unbox, only to find the stuff broken.

> 3 dayJust like others have said, the trunk part doesn’t line up correctly. My little one still enjoys it, but I wish it closed in place a lot better for what we paid for it. Also I didn’t think about the design of the eyes of the truck being hard for little ones to see over when riding around.

Greater than one weekWe bought this for my son’s first birthday. It’s been a huge hit. He is too short to maneuver it with his feet so we currently have the floor in. He can climb in and out and open the door with ease. He loves being able to open the trunk and place random toys in. He’s not a huge fan of the horn but it’s a nice feature to have. Putting the decals on was somewhat of a pain but the rest was pretty easy. Took my boyfriend about 10 minutes to put together himself. The wheels turn rather easy and haven’t encountered problems with it on carpet.

> 3 dayWe bought this for our one year old grandson’s birthday. He loves it and his 3 year old big brother was very happy with this gift to share. :) it’s so cute and we love the big truck sound of the horn and the working truck bed tailgate.

Greater than one weekWe bought this for our grandson’s first birthday. We already have the Little Tikes cozy coupe at our house and he loves being pushed around in it. Personally I would say you could buy this for any child 10 months+ to be pushed until they are strong enough to “peddle” it themselves with the floorboard removed. First off I have to say that my husband is exceptional at assembling things. If Id have been assembling it I wouldn’t be writing this review yet! Once he had read the instructions it took him a good hour to put everything together. Nice sturdy truck just like so many of the other toys this company makes. On the down side - the door was ill-fitting and doesn’t line up exactly to latch unless you really push down hard on the door (we are leaving that to our son to sort out after the birthday party!) and the decals that come with this don’t match the ones in the video on this page or the ones you can buy here on Amazon for $12.99 - search The Toy Restore Replacement Decals Fits Little Times Truck, nor do the instructions for the decals jive with the numbers on the decal sheets.
