Produces enough heat for my snake to be his only heat source in a 40 gallon tank. Took about 2 minutes to really heat up. It doesnt emit any light. Packaged well for shipping.

Its a 60w ceramic heat emitter, it does what its intended to do. These are all pretty generic, not the most powerful ones out there, but also less likely to fry the housing of your lamp over time. Creates a nice, warm basking area for reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates, etc without unwanted light.

Im sure youre probably looking at this because you have a lizard or some other little creature that needs heat cause it cant make its own and I know youre probably frustrated because the pet shops sell the bulbs at $15 a pop and youre tired of it so I but so I decided to try one of these with the UV bulb since the heat bulb only produces heat why keep buying the ones that are in actual light bulb I figured this ceramic thing might work better didnt see much info while searching on Google on a quick search about it but anyway decides to give it a try Thus far which Ive only had in a couple of weeks it works great this dude is out all the time now and is getting pretty cold he was hiding in his Little Rock until I got this thing now hes out and eating well. As I mentioned above I do have an issue with the products I have purchased in the past from very large name brands and very large retailers not lasting nearly long enough in my opinion I do have my system on a timer so it does not run 24 /7 and it does have the jolt of electricity turning on and off every day which I can understand does aid wear and tare I however I think you should be able to get a year out of a $15 ball I will definitely report back if these bulbs go out on me in a short period of time that I seem to think its not suitable just so you guys can know if youre buying them what to expect But as far as the performance of the product I am pleased with it its a 100゚ in his basking spot I was in I was not able to get that with the light bulbs.

I wasnt sure what size to get, so I got the 100 Watt. These put off some great heat and are so much better than the normal large heat lamp bulbs we use for baby chicks which break easily and the filaments burn out quickly. These seem like they will last a long time. After testing , I removed with hot pads. The base was not hot but the top was still super hot. So be careful and do not touch when hot. You cant tell if these are on other than putting your hand in front to feel the heat. You can see the size comparison to a normal sized bulb. Great price on a 2 pack of these.

This is something new for me, but I like what I see. We have pretty much always used the old fashioned, red heat lamps that just eat electricity. You have to be super careful with them because they have the potential for breaking... plus they are huge. This ceramic heater however, uses about half the electricity and has a very small footprint. One key feature that is nice about this is that it doesnt generate light 24/7. That is one specific feature we were looking for. In fact, you cant even tell its working just by looking at it. After turning it on, I could hear it starting to heat up and within about 15 seconds it was several hundred degrees. I am impressed with how well it works.

This works pretty well. Keeps my lizard warm incase a bulb runs out and i cant make it to the store fast enough. Doesnt put out an extreme amount of heat but would do well in addition w other bulbs incase you needed to bump the temperature up some.

Product Details

Heat Lamp for Reptiles

Heat lamps are suitable for almost all reptiles, including lizards, spiders, turtles, snakes, etc.

Efficient and Environmentally

Ceramic heating lamps reduce heat retention and carbonization inside the equipment, with a life span of up to 10,000 hours, which is more than 2 times that of similar products, and the waterproof design is suitable for high humidity environments.

Heating Bulb without Light Source

The heat lamp bulb only generates heat during use, and does not emit light. It provides sufficient heat for your pets so that they can feel the warmth you made for it in a cold environment. Especially when it is used at night, it will not affect the pet"s sleep.
