Greater than one weekThis bulb is just ok. It produces heat, but not enough to keep temps above 80 deg. I assume I received a lower watt bulb. My use was to provide a bit more heat during the evening on the hot side of the habitat when light is not needed. However it just couldnt keep the habitat at the correct temp. The heat it does produce is constant and unlike the incandescent bulbs doesnt cause the light assembly to be scorching hot. Overall this product works well. You just need to be careful of the bulb watt level when purchasing.

> 3 dayI purchased a set of two heating bulbs to use for my plants before the winter storm came. I really like the heat that they put out and they seem to work well, except only one of the bulbs works; the other one does not come on at all. Major bummer.

05-06-2025When ordering these, I wondered if it was going to be too much heat. Up till now, I have only used heat lights. Not the case, it’s not over powering. It’s actually smaller than I expected, which is a good thing. The positive for me is, I am making a heat source for my dogs on cold nights, without the lights. I’m sure the dogs will appreciate that.

> 3 dayI wasnt sure what size to get, so I got the 100 Watt. These put off some great heat and are so much better than the normal large heat lamp bulbs we use for baby chicks which break easily and the filaments burn out quickly. These seem like they will last a long time. After testing , I removed with hot pads. The base was not hot but the top was still super hot. So be careful and do not touch when hot. You cant tell if these are on other than putting your hand in front to feel the heat. You can see the size comparison to a normal sized bulb. Great price on a 2 pack of these.

> 3 dayThese bulbs make a nice heat source for chicks. I got the 60 W bulbs and setting up just one of them worked well for the six chicks we needed to keep warm in our house. If we were to keep much more than that I would either set up more than one bulb or get the higher wattage ceramic bulbs. I kept a digital thermometer in the box with them at first just to make sure I got the temperature right and had the bulb set at the right height. Some observations and adjustments are required for these to work well but no more than what you would need to do with a traditional red heat lamp from tractor supply. I don’t prefer those because in our case they are just way too hot and too much of a fire hazard. It should be noted that these ceramic bulbs don’t emit any light so one would need to provide another source for light for the chicks to be able to eat and drink during regular daylight hours.

> 3 dayThese heating lights are perfect for keeping our bearded dragon warm at night during the winter since we like to keep the house cool at night. His tank is 75 with this heat lamp while keeping it dark. Our beardie no longer wakes up too cold.

> 3 dayI have been in search of heat lamp bulbs for some time now that emit heat but have no light retracting from them. These are those heat lamp bulbs! They have worked well for my leapord gecko for the last few days. I appreciated that two came in this pack!
