In my opinion this is the best gasket maker you can use. Because it’s anabolic it does not set up till the part is put togeather.

It’s an anaerobic gasket former from loctite; as you can expect, it’s a great product!

Used this product to seal two halves of an aluminium outboard crankcase. Directions said to use primer I did not. I thoroughly cleaned both surfaces with lacquer thinner then used a small paint brush to apply a thin coat to each side making sure to give a little distance near bearings. Then assembled crankcase let set for a couple of days. I was concerned after reading some reviews that the product would not cure properly without primer so I disassembled to check cure before completing assembly. All was fine cleaned again resealed and reassembled let sit for a week before running motor. No leaks ofter running motor multiple times. One tube will do many small engines. Would recommend. set time was not a big rush product cures when air is absent after assembly.

I used this Gasket Maker on the joint between the cylinder and the crank case when replacing the piston and cylinder on a Poulan chainsaw. Loctite 518 was recommended by a lot of people which I why I bought this particular brand. It was easy to use and seems to have worked because the chainsaw has good compression now.

As an anaerobic sealant that does not require a primer this product can not be beat. I am a professional mechanic and engine builder, call backs cost money and makes for dissatisfied customers, dont cut corners use this product.

Used this on a stihl chainsaw to seal the cylinder to the crankcase. Worked flawlessly.
