As an anaerobic sealant that does not require a primer this product can not be beat. I am a professional mechanic and engine builder, call backs cost money and makes for dissatisfied customers, dont cut corners use this product.

This is used and cures properly when air is not available for curing

I used this Gasket Maker on the joint between the cylinder and the crank case when replacing the piston and cylinder on a Poulan chainsaw. Loctite 518 was recommended by a lot of people which I why I bought this particular brand. It was easy to use and seems to have worked because the chainsaw has good compression now.

Always use on my header flanges and any v band connection that sees lots of heat

This is usually an excellent product, this particular tube was however much thicker than usual, and impractical for use. I would guess possibly too old, or a bad batch?

Amazon REALLY needs to include the fact that you ALSO NEED TO ORDER the activator separately. This requires the spray activator on NON-Active metals like aluminum.

I would use this many more places if it wasn’t so expensive compared to RTV. It is so much cleaner and it seals just as well, if not better. Used it on transmission case and on jet ski pump.
