> 3 dayWanted to clean of old bandsaw’s rubber tire the “easy” way. I did but in the process enlarged the bandsaw’s bearing hole. The loctite product says it can fill up some of the space between the bearing and bearing hole. Well it did and 5 years have passed and the bearing is still in there.

> 3 dayHoly smokes, this stuff stopped all my creaky BB30 bottom bracket clicking woes. My original bike assembler didnt use this when installing the bearings, but if you follow Specializeds instructions, they want you to use 640 green sleeve retainer (without saying Loctite). This is it. Use this stuff between your press-fit bearings and the bearing shell.

> 3 dayTried to use to secure a bushing in an output extension housing of a truck transmission. Old bushing was spinning in its bore. Supposed to be a press fit. Researched this problem and discovered this product. Followed directions. First cleaned and degreased housing and bushing mating surfaces with BrakeClean. Then applied the Loctite to both surfaces and installed the bushing with a twisting motion. Instructions state the product will set up in 1hr and fully cure after 24hrs. I had the assembly in my house at 72* and after 24hrs product was just as wet as when I installed it. Removed bushing and recleaned , not sure what to do now.

Greater than one weekUsed this to repair a loose bearing race on a 78 yr old truck. Alternative was to find a new spindle. This worked great!

Greater than one weekWe have a very busy auto repair shop, recently we had a Chevrolet pick up that had lost the differential carrier bearings. When the bearing race spun it damaged the differential housing, because a used one is $500.00 and a new one was out of the question for this customer, we opted to use Loctite #640 high strenth sleeve retainer repair. It did the job very well and we will use it again if we find the need.
