LTGEM Case for Samsung T5/T3/T1 Portable 250GB 500GB 1TB 2TB SSD USB 3.1 External Solid State Drives

I use it for my Samsung T5. Its bigger than I expected, but provides just enough room to comfortably fit the two cables inside. If like me you need only one cable (either type-c or type-c) for your workflow, you might prefer a more compact design. But I love the protection the case provides. The material feels high quality and sturdy enough to withstand accidental drops.

It is a stiff case - not HARD as I recall the sales page classed it. Nonetheless, it is pretty durable and suitably protective from ordinary hazards to my SSD drive. I suspect if I were to take a framing hammer to it while inside the protective case, that sort of hazard may very well overcome its level of protection. Good news is that only rarely happens to me. My whole life (it seems!) is on my little Samsung SSD, so it was easy for me to justify the small added expense of some protection for it. Case fits the Samsung T5 perfectly. Compartment for cables. Padded recess is snug all around the T5, with hard-shell exterior. Perfect case for the Samsung T5 external SSD.

This case fits my expensive T5 2GB drive perfectly and, so far as I know, it’s the only case specifically designed for this drive. I will say, however, that I have any number of portable drive cases that are build to a much higher standard in both quality and workmanship. So, unless you can find a custom fitting case out there that’s of higher quality, this is your only choice. It isn’t bad, just not as nice as it really should be for the money. Recommended.

Ive found this case does what its designed to do perfectly. One cable easily fits in the top pocket, and to fit two cables its just a matter of turning the ends of each cable so they lay flat in the pocket. The SSD fits snugly in the bottom tray, and the case itself is solid enough to provide a good amount of protection when its rolling around in the bottom of a backpack.

I was very happy when I saw the case in person, it looks great. However, the zipper is just terrible; it came stuck, and trying to open the case took me an hour. At last I put on it some vaseline and it opened with force. Its really a shame because the case looks sturdy and inside it looks like really high quality and the T5 fits in just great. But when I close the zipper, its impossible to open without great effort. I may try to put vaseline on the entire zipper chain and move it until it becomes smooth. I hope it works... but it shouldnt come like this. I give it 2 stars because I have hope it will become functional once I manage to fix the zipper.

This was exactly right. It would be nice if they had a window or something in the front that labels would stick to though so I can label them.

The T5 isnt as small as a thumb drive, but it is really small: 3 by 2. This case is really helpful in ensuring that the cables and the additional USB-C adaptor (for newer Macs and very thin ultrabook Windows machines) will always be there and in good condition when you want to use the speed and capacity of SSD.

Its a great case for your samsung ssd. The ssd feels snug and it doesnt move around. Its easy to take the ssd in and out of the case. The case is hard and I am not worry about my ssd in it.
