Luggage Wheel Set - 76x24mm Wheel Size

> 3 dayI bought these to replace the wheels on an older ~26-27 Kirkland suitcase that was from circa 2000. The two inch wheels work, but the axles that come with these wheels are only 1.5 long, and the bolts that screwed into the axle were too short. The old axle was 2 long, but the old axles had to be cut off (the wheels were riveted in) and besides the cutting, the old axles were too thick for these new wheels. I couldnt find any wheels that came with longer axles (1.5 seems standard), so I bought round top machine screws (#10-32 X 1 inch), and those screws provided enough extension to use the axles that came with the wheels. Looks like it will work, and seems to hold. If it loosens, Ill just use some lock tight.

> 3 dayI used these to replace the wheels on a Travelpro 20 Flightcrew7 rollaboard that disintegrated during a recent trip (one fell apart at the beginning, the other at the end of the trip). Knocked one star off for a strange fibrous residue that coated the wheels and took a while to wipe off, and the fact the the bearings labeled ABEC-7 were not particularly free spinning out of the box (but theyll hopefully loosen up with some wear). The wheels came with an 8mm axle and nylon bushings to use the existing 6mm Travelpro axle, which is the only option for me because that was the only axle that would fit the cutouts in the plastic wheel housing and because the bushings provide the few mm of additional spacing for the wheel to fit without side-to-side play in the housings (wheels are 24mm wide, Travelpro housings are 26-27mm wide). Getting the locktite-secured screws out of the old axle took some work, but once that was done it was an easy wheel swap that took five minutes. As far as I know these 76mm wheels will fit most Travelpro rollaboard bags (measure your current wheels to be sure) but you will need to retain the bags existing 6mm axles and use those with the nylon bushings/spacers.

> 3 dayVast improvement on the old wheels. Very easy installation with tools and spacers required. The hardest part was removing the old wheels. Im ordering another set for my wifes roll on. Good fast delivery.

03-06-2025I have a 15 year old TravelPro Crew5 carry on roller, and when the wheel broke the last time I traveled, I feared I was going to have to replace my trusted bag. Fortunately, these wheels worked great. I was worried that due to the age of my bag that perhaps standards (wheel size, axle size, etc) would have changed and the wheel wouldnt fit. While the supplied axle didnt fit my bag, the new wheel fit my original axle so I was still able to complete the repair without any issues. Very happy this small purchased saved me from purchasing a new bag for hundreds more.
