Lutron Caséta Smart Wireless Repeater/Range Extender, PD-REP-WH, White

I couldnt get my Lutron Caseta light switches to work in my barn. Bought this and put right in window of house and bam! Everything works beautifully now!

A simple signal repeater for Lutrons Caseta product line. You would literally took this bridge out of the box, place it near your original bridge, pair it (using the app), and thats it. The app is a bit horrible looking, and the pairing process might be painful if you place this extender outside of the range, so you might need a couple of tries. But as soon as you set it up and provide power, theres nothing you need to do after.

Boosts the signal enough so I can access Lutron devices outside my house. Made it possible to turn on the lights and heat in my woodshop from the house.

I bought 2 thinking I would need them for the large coverage area but one is enough. We have thick concrete walls too, the signal is strong in the home it is. Only downside... The permanent light... All these gadgets have to prove their existence with way too bright lights. So cue the ugly electrical tape. Doh

Ease of installation and solved my problem

Easy to install and operate. if using this range extender AND a plug in module to further extend range, it is important to understand: 1. Only the first plugin module you install on the hub can be used as a range extender (so if you’ve already installed several plugin modules you may have to move the first one you installed to the desired location for range extension) 2. Install the plugin module between the hub and this range extender to achieve maximum range This configuration is flawlessly servicing my 4800 square foot house and detached carriage house (which is only 20 feet from the main structure but still…).

Excellent. It extended my coverage to the entirety of my backyard with the outdoor Lutron weatherproof plug. As with all my Lutron Caseta devices, it has been flawless in performance. One tiny thing is the light is bright and I wish I could turn it off.

Our barn is more than 500’ away from the house and without this little marvel I couldn’t get the Lutron switch to work. The installation went without incident so now the Christmas wreath and candles can be switched on and off from the house. Granted I could have used a simple timer, but when we have guests the off time is able to be extended. Thank Lutron !!! Maybe you might consider offering it in a package as an extended range option with the bridge? Just a thought.

My Luton set up had intermittent failure issues going from my basement in a brick house to remote switches in a detached brick garage. I was way beyond specs both in distance and structure and I was surprised it worked at all. Adding the repeater resolved the failures and was totally plug and play.

Great tech support from Lutron as well. Recommended when youve got a couple of floors to cover.
