It doesnt measure up to my previous FamHist programme Brothers Keeper. I find that the family grouping becomes confusing with a large family in view, however as B.K. is non-Mac, I dont have much choice at present. The Reporting looks ok, but Ive hardly delved into the programme yet. I will submit again after a month or two.

Never tried sorting family tree before, so no benchmark, but this seems to do what i want. Would have liked a linked document archive though.

Just chose this (an older version) as it was very cheap compared to the current version. Works absolutely fine on MacBook Pro (Mavericks). Very happy with the purchase. Could import the data file from Ancestry.co.uk family tree file.

So far I am liking it, would have liked a link to do pages though, have lots of written material and photos re family and notes seem a bit messy, and cant seem to find where to put wedding dates as yet, but it is supposed to be there ... still working on that one. apart from that, I think it is going to work out well, have so much information to input before I go live. Work in progress ...

I am loving this program! It takes a little bit to get the hang of using it. (Of course, it would also help if I read the booklet for assistance.) I cant wait to use all of the aspects of this program. There are so many possibilities for recording family history.

Good software. I have about 200 people in my database and it is easy to work with. I wish it supported DNA entries and I wish it had research tools such as empty forms and a to do list, or a last person worked on list or something.

Was extremely disappointed and angry when, after trying to install MacFamily Tree 5, found that it is not the latest Mac Tree software and cannot be loaded into my computer. Of course, for another $50 I can get an update. What a ripoff.
