> 3 daySo far I am liking it, would have liked a link to do pages though, have lots of written material and photos re family and notes seem a bit messy, and cant seem to find where to put wedding dates as yet, but it is supposed to be there ... still working on that one. apart from that, I think it is going to work out well, have so much information to input before I go live. Work in progress ...

> 3 dayFirstly I have to congratulate Amazon for their speedy delivery. However not so impressed by Mac as although the programme itself looks very good and with some ease I have been able to insert data, given it is not one of the recent versions, it has been difficult to obtain a full user guide as you only receive the disc and shortened start up guide. It would have been more helpful if the guide was included especially about importing GEDCOM files etc.

Greater than one weekThe best family history for macs Its easy to get gadcoms down and sorts out your family decendents, it will work out who your ancesters are to you like which person is your greeat great grandparents are or 2nd 3rd cousins etc, even family from branch members of your family, but you have to put the details in first. A must have for any one doing their family history on an Apple Mac. One good thing is once you have bought on you need never get another as all upgrades are downloded free

19-11-2024The choice for Family Tree programs for Mac seems to be a little limited. This program addresses the basics of entry and record OK, its the display side that lets it down. An instance being if a person has more than one partner in their lifetime the second partner is displayed on the far side of the family tree to their basic entry. The connection being made by a long and tenuous line right across the family tree. The other point on Display is the virtual family tree. When you have, maybe, hundreds of names in your tree the virtual tree becomes a mixed up and totally undecypherable load of junk. As far as I am concerned its a waste of space and memory. Cut it out, make the program more manageable, and a little cheaper, and fix the second partner issue, mentioned above, and it would be a reasonable program. As it is - 2 stars only Im afraid.

> 3 dayI am loving this program! It takes a little bit to get the hang of using it. (Of course, it would also help if I read the booklet for assistance.) I cant wait to use all of the aspects of this program. There are so many possibilities for recording family history.

> 3 dayNever tried sorting family tree before, so no benchmark, but this seems to do what i want. Would have liked a linked document archive though.

> 3 dayWas extremely disappointed and angry when, after trying to install MacFamily Tree 5, found that it is not the latest Mac Tree software and cannot be loaded into my computer. Of course, for another $50 I can get an update. What a ripoff.
