MAGIX Music Maker 2016 Live

Descent music maker for the price and very easy to learn to use. This software is easy enough to learn that my six-year old had no trouble learning the basics within minutes. The majority of it is simple drag and drop with sample music pieces, sounds, and vocals that are included. Had a little trouble getting the mic to work with this software, which I previously never had an issue with, but it was ultimately resolved. Ive had no issues with lag at all as some other reviewers have mentioned.

I asked for PC Disk.... I received a empty box with a online download if u wanted just to download it i wouldnt of wasted my time and money on the PC DISK. Version i am NOT a happy customer

i baught this item so happy and downloaded it only to find out that the product serial number is registered in another email, i felt scammed. pls amazon help me.

This was a 2-star experience, but due to what may be user idiocy, I gave an extra star. Ive used music software before, so I thought I can pick this up quickly, but no... Maybe thats because Ive been a long-time Mac user; therefore, using a PC installed with a Windows operating system adds to the pain. At least this installed on a Windows 10 machine.

I want to say this is a 5 star mid-tier music mixing and mastering program, but I cant. One of the bundled programs (the registry cleaner) took a chunk out of my WIndows and I had to revert back to my last back up to restore my PC to a working state. DO NOT INSTALL any other bundled programs like SImpliclean!

A lot of people are harsh about this product, but for a basic mixing app, I felt it was pretty darn good for beginners. Out of the box, not reading any directions, I was able to put together a mashup of the included beat loops along with clips from my own audio .wav and .mp3 files. Had the whole thing mixed and saved in half an hour. I recommend watching the tutorials on the Magix website, as that made me aware of features I hadnt discovered on my own.

Its fun to play with and its pretty easy to create techno style music with it. I like that its really meant to be played with in real time. But it is unstable/crashes rather regularly. And I have a strong workstation system with 16GB of ram and a Quadro video card. I definately wouldnt use it for live play because of the stability issues. Ive used a Sony program before, and while I think this Music Maker has some interesting features which I could like over the Sony, the stability of the Sony software keeps me with that product.

Its funny. The samplitude pro demo program that retails for $700+ works perfectly fine and is made by the same company. Music maker can barely run for 5 minutes without crashing! The program is so feature rich and I would love to use it as my main DAW but it is unreliable at best. My computer is a full xeon class workstation with 32gb ram and quadro graphics and dedicated sound. The program has no reason to crash and glitch and fail to load audio or recordings. Its like they purposely crippled music maker to push their higher end products. Do yourself a favor and dont waste money like I did on this junk program. It has potential but should have never been released in this buggy state. Ive tried it on 3 other computers with the same results. It doesnt matter if its on windows 10, 8.1, 8, 7 or vista. The program will glitch and will crash especially after recording something great. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

There is a reason why the box edition (no disc – card with download instructions only) is $27 while the regular download is $99. It does not include the 4 Premium Soundpools that are advertised on the product box (only the 6 Standard Soundpools get installed). Magix customer service says it refers to a couple of samples in the “live” application, but that’s just damage control. Those are not Soundpool sets.
