> 3 dayIm a novice at this music creation business. Ive looking for software for creating my own music, NOT just mix together some prerecorded loops. Im thrilled that MAGIX Music Maker allows me to do precisely that.

> 3 dayI cant believe this is still being advertised and sold!!! Its buggy as hell and customer service fell off the edge of earth! Magix Music maker was always my favorite and had unbelievable potential to be the best! So dont know what happened to the Magix team! If you recorded music from earlier versions, dont expect them to work with the updates or the Updated windows version Windows 10. Ive lost 100s of songs because of these bugs and there is NO response from Customer service...and no news about any updates for Magix Music maker Premium 2016. Forget LIVE, its buggy as well!

> 3 dayThere is a reason why the box edition (no disc – card with download instructions only) is $27 while the regular download is $99. It does not include the 4 Premium Soundpools that are advertised on the product box (only the 6 Standard Soundpools get installed). Magix customer service says it refers to a couple of samples in the “live” application, but that’s just damage control. Those are not Soundpool sets.

Greater than one weekIts funny. The samplitude pro demo program that retails for $700+ works perfectly fine and is made by the same company. Music maker can barely run for 5 minutes without crashing! The program is so feature rich and I would love to use it as my main DAW but it is unreliable at best. My computer is a full xeon class workstation with 32gb ram and quadro graphics and dedicated sound. The program has no reason to crash and glitch and fail to load audio or recordings. Its like they purposely crippled music maker to push their higher end products. Do yourself a favor and dont waste money like I did on this junk program. It has potential but should have never been released in this buggy state. Ive tried it on 3 other computers with the same results. It doesnt matter if its on windows 10, 8.1, 8, 7 or vista. The program will glitch and will crash especially after recording something great. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

> 3 dayThis is a fun program. You can hit the ground running because of its simplicity.

Greater than one weekMy 16 year old son makes music. He is a songwriter, sings and plays guitar, uke, and piano/keyboard. He is always looking for better microphones and music software. This software is fun and fairly easy to use for someone new to music making. The pre-recorded sounds make it quick and easy to put a song together. Once thing I was excited by was that the program can easily record your own vocals and instrumental arrangements. However, the editing is a bit clunky. My son is still struggling with how to do vocal overlays and how to edit just parts of the song or even cut them out completely. He has a laptop that is a couple years old now, but is built to handle music and video and we had no problem running this software. One thing I will say is that this is NOT professional recording quality. Some of my sons other software programs do a better job of creating polished and clear recordings.

Greater than one weekI want to say this is a 5 star mid-tier music mixing and mastering program, but I cant. One of the bundled programs (the registry cleaner) took a chunk out of my WIndows and I had to revert back to my last back up to restore my PC to a working state. DO NOT INSTALL any other bundled programs like SImpliclean!

> 3 dayEasy to install. Fun to use. I really like the product and happy with how user friendly it is. Came with a ton of extra add ons... still learning new features every time I use it!

> 3 dayThe Good - The 15 Virtual Instruments are beyond reproach. The best ones are not listed on the box. They call them Object Synthesizers. One is a Groove box called BeatBox 2 that would stand against Rolands vintage GrooveBoxes. Another great VST is the Loop Designer. A Drum and Bass Beat Powerhouse. The presets for the VSTs shown on the box are Phenomenal. Namely DN-e1 and Revolta2. If the package only contained these items it would be worth every penny.
