We learned about this product from a local horse lady. She told us that she not only used it on her horses but also on her dogs and everyone else in her family. Now that got my attention! So I went to Tractor Supply the first time and bought a 12 oz. bottle. Both my wife and I tried it and found it to be very rich, that it lathered easily and extensively, that it was easy to rinse out of our hair, and that it left our hair soft and sweet smelling. So we subjected it to the true test and used it on our two rescue Irish Wolfhounds. Piper is a 115 lb female and Finnegan is a 180 lb. male. Neither one likes baths very much but they have learned to be patient with us if we use warm water when washing them and then a hose to rinse them off. Their favorite part is the drying off with coarse towels, a combination of removing the water while playing a difficult game of keep away with them. A major consideration is the cost comparison. You can buy a 12 oz. bottle of the shampoo for around $8.00 or a gallon (128 oz.) of the shampoo for $28.49. Ten 12 oz. bottles would cost you about $80.00 and you would still be short 8 oz. of the shampoo. Such a deal the gallon size is!

I use this product to was my dogs along with the conditioner. I wish it smelled prettier. My dogs smell like a clean horse! :)

Some dry and hair loss

The thickness or texture is dense that means it will last looong. the scent its nice not so strong. Decent foam. Washes off easily. Hair is soft. The wifey has used it a few times even on hair with dye and nothing bad happened didnt kill the curls either nor curled the straight hair. Dog loves it too. Havent used it on the kiddos they are little and its not tears free.

We have used mane and tale for years on our hair. I was so excited to find the gallon jug priced fairly. When it arrived, more than half of it was in the plastic surrounding the bottle. I will not return it because there is not enough to return to make it worth my while.

Received package and the lid was loose causing it to leak. A mess but too big of a hassle to return considering the product. Lost 1/4 of the shampoo during shipping. No safety seal under lid. Maybe this is normal?? Just disappointed.
