I picked this up for my emperor 400 because the impeller it came with was oddly molded and made a horrible rattling noise. This one fit in nicely and did its job. still made some noise but it wasnt as bad.

Fixed my issue within 5 minutes. Thats 5 minutes start to finish. Noise level is down and the water flow has gone back to where it should be.

Have a Marineland Emperor 400 that was rattling loudly. Inspected the impeller and noticed it was worn and had some slop in it. Purchased this and BLAMMO! No more rattling! Just a nice water flow sound...ahhh....

perfect replacement for the filter

This works great in my Marineland Emperor 280! This replacement part has been redesigned to be heavy duty!! The issue with the old part is the plastic cups that are located at the top and bottom. If they arent position correctly, they will wear out. This issue will lead to a loud noise.

Quieted down my Marineland Emperor 400s significantly! Replace that old, worn out, and noisy impeller.
