Mario and Luigi: Dream Team Nintendo 3DS

A great, silly mario rpg type of game. However some of the combat was harder than need be to do due to the unresponsiveness of my ds. Unsure if it was my ds or the game itself. Still had a great time playing it.

This was a Christmas gift for my grandson. He requested this game and he loves playing Mario and Luigi: Dream Team game.

This game is fun but it has a lot of reading and I would recommend it to a child with a higher reading level than my sons

I always like new Mario adventures, and this one certainly is unique and fun. However, I havent finished the game because I havent been fully drawn in. If you like a lot of dialogue and tutorial, this game is for you. If you are like me, and like to press A over and over until you clear the text, you might want to consider Super Mario 3D Land or another in the series instead.

4 stars only because my 10 year old daughter doesnt play with this game as much as the others she got for Christmas so that says something. she says she likes it though.

This was a Christmas gift for my 6 year old son. He reads well for his age, but this game is a bit much. For the first 30 minutes at least, its ALL reading. No game time at all. Then, a little playing, then MORE reading! To the point of, my son sighed & said Im done, this is boring. So I tried it, then my husband...Boring. If your kids like to read most of their games and not do much of anything but hit the A button, this game is for you. But if you like to actually walk around levels & find coins, complete missions, have an actual point to a game..Do Not buy this one. Bad choice on my part. I will be going put today to get him the new Super Mario 2 3ds game, so he can actually play a game!

Ill just be brief. This game is fantastic. The visuals are great to look at, (best 3d on the system, hands down. almost never clips for me) colorful, interesting environments abound, no framerate issues, plenty of variety, its just all fantastic. The skill-based RPG combat system is very polished and most enemies have several different types of attacks that keep battles fresh as you move on through the story. The story is about as complicated as youd expect (not very) and is definitely the weak point of the game. However, I will say that if you bought a Mario game for the story, youve made a mistake. Basically the gameplay is solid, the environment is interesting, the characters are charming and the music is fantastic. A completely solid game, and one of my favorites on any console that Ive played in a long time.
