These worked well holding up the heavy hood of my 2006 H3 Hummer. Be sure to watch a few youtube videos to see the trick of removing the old ones first.

They are working great. No more using a stick to hold the good up. Easy fit had them in done in less than 10 minutes. Once I figured out how to pop the clip holding the end ball. (suggest using the old ones to try this)

Fit just fine on my 2007 Hummer H3. Super easy to remove the old and install these new ones. My old ones provided no lift assist and barely held the hood up anymore. These MaxPow are great. Provides enough left so that the hood automatically lifts itself up all the way but gives when it’s lowered 2/3 of the way so that it can be gently closed. Better than my old ones even when they were new.
