> 3 dayThe generic wii2hdmi adapter will fill the screen when in 16:9, this adapter will not. One positive is that the audio is great on this! If you like 4:3 video this should work for you.

> 3 dayDefinitely worth the extra $7 over alternatives. I had a 2017-ish Wii hdmi converter for years. It was comparable to AV cable with different trade offs, but image quality was slightly inferior to games running in the WiiU vWii. (Built in hdmi) Eventually the old adapter case started to fall apart. The old adapter was so long, I was afraid the hdmi cable would torque out the video plug from the back of the Wii. This new adapter produces far more vibrant, sharper and consistent picture than any other options I’ve seen including vWii on the Wii U. Text is much more readable as a result. Both Wii and GameCube games come across as almost modern remasters or as though they were run through a good pc emulator.

> 3 dayI previously had my wii hooked up via the composite, three little circle plugs. I was surprised at how much better this looks.

Greater than one weekI bought 2 of these 1 for me and one for my cousin. The HDMI converter has no input lag, no scan lines, and is about 25% smaller than other Wii 2 HDMI devices out there. This is definitely worth the higher price!

> 3 dayThis adapter is a few dollars more expensive than some of the other ones on the market. However, the increase in quality more than makes up for this. Compared to other adapters, I t’s smaller, the build quality is nicer, and it’s the only adapter that doesn’t cause weird diagonal lines on a 4k screen.

> 3 dayThis adapter works and looks great. I use it with an mClassic for my Wii. The output of this adapter is 480p and it leaves the upscaling to your TV or other device.

> 3 dayI compared this MAYFLASH with a generic Wii2HDMI and an Electron Shepherd Wii2HDMI. Included are pics from a Wii console running Splinter Cell Chaos Theorys first mission. The MAYFLASH and other generic Wii2HDMI adapters are simply too dark and unplayable. These cheap converters have a huge lack of contrast no matter how you adjust your TV. The included images are on standard video game settings of my TV with the Wii set to 480P widescreen. It is less noticeable on bright and cheery games which is why these cheaper products get good reviews. But dont worry, the solution only costs 10 dollars more. My results - Electron Shepherd Wii2HDMI has far better picture and sound than any other adapter available. In my opinion it even makes the Wiidual internal HDMI mod obsolete, it is that good. So pony up the extra 10 bucks and get one. I bought all three Wii2HDMI units with my own money to do this comparison. No sponsors or affiliations, just trying to help.

> 3 dayI dont often leave reviews but figure Id vouch for this one. After several hours of use and close examination, Im happy to say that this adapter is operating flawlessly. No scanlines, no visual noise, no audio issues... it just works. Ive splurged on other brands such as Portholic and Hyperkin before, those came with issues out of the gate and didnt last me very long. Very worthwhile purchase if youre looking to upgrade from composite cables.
