> 3 dayAfter struggling for years with installing speaker wires onto the back of my A/V receivers, I finally got smart and bought the Mediabridge banana plugs. It takes a little patience connecting the loose wires to the plugs but the reward is great. When I swap A/V receivers this week, the migration of speaker wires will be a snap.

> 3 dayIve bought many types and brands of speaker connectors - these are the best by far. Delivery was right on time and the packing was excellent. And the kitting of 7 pairs was perfect for a 7.2 sound system. Pricing was very reasonable. I was especially happy with the method of attachment to the wire. The way the top section screws on with an outside thread as opposed to an inside thread (other brands) results in a fair amount of latitude in the length of stripped speaker wire. Bottom line, extremely easy installation. The barrel nicely accommodated 14 gauge wire with fairly thick insulation. The plugs were perfect for my Onkyo receiver, not too tight, not loose at all. Sound is perfect as expected, no static that might result from flaky contact. Now my system is very neat, easy if service is needed and no possibility of shorts from stray strands of wire at the speaker terminals. I recommend these plugs highly.

Greater than one weekLet me first start with a brief rundown on my history in the audiophile realm... I started out 17 years ago with a cheap stereo setup from Sharp. It was a simple unit with a tape deck, record player and an auxiliary input. I have always had keen hearing and I would pick up on sounds no one else around me seemed to notice, or care about I guess... Curious about audio, I began buying different brands of components, wires, connectors and equipment. I have owned everything from KLH, Bose, Cerwin Vega, Acoustic Research to the more expensive offerings like B&W, Klipsch, Martin Logan and overseas European hand made speakers. With everything Ive experienced in audio, I settled on Klipsch speakers. Their dynamic range, clarity, frequency separation and efficiency are things I truly appreciate... Whats my point? Namely this; From the source(receiver/amp) to the speakers is the potential for your weakest link in your Hi-Fi or home theater setup. From the wire the current travels along, to the pins, plugs and posts you connect them to, the plug to post connection is the last link in the chain. You can have the greatest receiver/amp hands have ever made, but cutting corners on your wire and connectors WILL cost you... When two pieces of metal meet, they encounter resistance. This is precisely why in the Hi-Fi audiophile community we use pure oxygen-free copper to 24K gold connections. Conductivity of copper is extremely high as is gold. Gold is used in binding posts and plugs because it does not oxidize and corrode like copper can as it ages. If the current is passed across OFC wire in high fidelity and meets a poor conductor(plug or post) a bottleneck is encountered. This leads to loss in fidelity, signal strength, imaging and on we go... I test ALL my connections from the source, to the wire it travels on and even...You guessed it, the plugs... This shows me where my bottleneck is, if I have one. Having tested the Mediabridge 24K gold banana plugs I can safely state that there is no loss in fidelity at all! This is the third product from Mediabridge that has withstood the tests of someone who honestly cares about the quality of audio he hears. These plugs are a welcomed addition to my Klipsch Reference series floorstanding speakers and should withstand the test of time! From the connection to serrated teeth inside the plug, to the rubber seal to keep air and dust out these are very high quality! A word of advice. If you use 16AWG wire with a very thick outer jacket (like Monster XP), you will need to lightly shave off some plastic to fit the wire into the connector nice and snug. Take only small amounts off at a time and check the fit, if its still too tight shave off more. Take your time and do it right. The more products I buy from Mediabridge, the more I am impressed... Impressing me isnt easy to do, I happen to be a perfectionist with VERY tight tolerance and no room for error...

> 3 dayI got these plugs to go with Klipsch speakers and a Yamaha receiver. The assembly is easy. They unscrew, you route the cable through, then they screw back together to hold the cable in place. I was using a 12 gauge cable and there was plenty of space. These could easily hold bigger cables. They feel nicely made and plug in tightly to the speakers. My only problem is that I didnt buy enough.

> 3 dayProduct arrived on time and was what I expected. So much better than trying to connect bare speaker wire to the individual connections on the back of my receiver.
