LOVE! My 16mo old grandson LOVES this toy! I have to help of course, but its one of his favorites for sure. Good quality, but appears to be soft wood as my grandson is rough and slams the shapes in the top creating a few tiny dents there now. I can see this looking pretty battered after it goes through a few grand babies.

I love that it has multiple shapes and colors! Great toy for helping with fine motor skills!

My one year old loves this!

This is one of the best shape sorters I have ever seen. Ive had many, due to having child care, my own kids, and now grandchildren. The shaped blocks store neatly inside the sorter; color coating makes the process easier for younger children; there are many shaped blocks in the set; they fit very nicely through the sorter openings. Colors are vibrant and attractive. I give this the best score possible, with enthusiasm. Im glad I bought it (for my house; I got rid of another that I didnt like...) and I would buy this Melissa & Doug shape sorter again for gifts. I definitely recommend this shape sorter! Hands down this is the best Ive seen yet!

Durable toy and excellent teaching tool

I disliked the top not being able to come off to put shapes back in, I would have preferred one that did come off. If a child is of age and able to identify shapes this probably would be a gift fit. Every child’s learning is different. Shapes can be used to trace as a learning technique.

I got this for my 14 month old nephew. He is still learning but he loved it right away.

The blocks are small enough for my 9 month old grandson to hold but large enough they cant fit in his mouth as he likes to bite them. He is too small to fit work the slots but he likes to bang them like drums on the wood floor.

I like that the shapes are written on the back because I dont even know all these shapes.
