Greater than one weekMy son (22 months) loves this! We’ve had other shape sorters but the design of this one is probably the best and it has the most variety of shapes and colors. My only gripe about it is that the plug is too difficult for him to remove on his own so he needs me to help open it up to shake the shapes out each time.

> 3 dayThis toy is fantastic! It holds our toddler’s attention for quite a while and provides a great lesson in shapes and colors. You can also have fun stacking the pieces and making a tower. Definitely worth getting for your little one or as a gift!!

> 3 dayThis is one of the best shape sorters I have ever seen. Ive had many, due to having child care, my own kids, and now grandchildren. The shaped blocks store neatly inside the sorter; color coating makes the process easier for younger children; there are many shaped blocks in the set; they fit very nicely through the sorter openings. Colors are vibrant and attractive. I give this the best score possible, with enthusiasm. Im glad I bought it (for my house; I got rid of another that I didnt like...) and I would buy this Melissa & Doug shape sorter again for gifts. I definitely recommend this shape sorter! Hands down this is the best Ive seen yet!

> 3 dayReturned immediately. Unfortunately my 2 year old only wanted to put the blocks in through the top hole once she saw me open it -the red plastic half circle piece comes out so you can retrieve the blocks once they go in. I didn’t realize that the blocks would fall into the center of the cylinder, so I had to keep opening the top piece for her to retrieve the blocks and then all she wanted to do was put the blocks back in that hole and not use the shapes, so it rendered it pretty useless as a learning/independent play toy.

> 3 dayWe got this today and within minutes of my 8 month old hitting the shapes onto the top (missing the hole) I noticed color marks all over it. The shapes also left marks on our floor and after a few times in the mouth, on her onesie sleeve. It also comes with a huge sticker on the side that I tried to pull off (because I know my baby will chew on it and end up eating the ink) and it’s the kind that doesn’t come off easily and leaves a bunch of sticky goo behind. My first and probably last Melissa and Doug toy.
