This mount is well designed and made, but too small for a Note9 with a thin case. I had to open the clamp 100%, and cut off the rubber padding - to barely squeeze my phone in with its case. I like the design, but wish it would open a little larger. Since there are so many larger phones, and many people use protective cases - a larger model with the same design features, would be great!

Can’t believe the quality of this item!! Sometimes with just all good reviews you wonder if they’re real but the finish on this and its construction, the reviews are spot on. Easily pivots and securely tightens. Has the “leg” to use alone or fold up to use with a tripod. Bought to use with my iPhone X but son uses it with his 8 Plus. Definitely getting another one at this price, or even maybe more for gifts. Comes with a drawstring bag for storage.

I was in the market for a better clamping mobile phone tripod mount (my current one is pretty good, but its 6 years old, and designs have greatly advanced since it was the only mount to which Id entrust an expensive iPhone).

I have the iPhone 11 Pro Max with an Otterbox case, With the clamps completely open I can fit the phone in and it holds it securely. I’m going to move up to the iPhone 13 Pro Max soon and am wondering if anyone has found a similar phone holder to work with it. All-in-all, I’m pretty happy with this phone mount.

I am a professional photographer and videogropher, semi-retired, and when I removed the SHINEWEE smartphone metal tripod from the fancy black cloth bag, I thought I had purchased the perfect tool for holding my various iPhones for recording my YouTube channel videos. First, the two threaded clamps took an unreasonbly long time to open up to the maximum position in an effort to insert my iPhone 11 Pro Max in an Otterbox case. If you are in a hurry to mount a smaller or larger profile smartphone, this is a problem. The maximum opening was not even close! Back into the box it went, taped on the return shipping label and dropped it off at the nearest UPS dropoff location. Bummer!

So very glad I purchased this tripod mount to hold my iPhone 14. I love the fact that it is NOT made of plastic - and, there are screws to tightly secure your phone.
