MFJ Enterprises Original MFJ-913 Balun 4:1 Current 300 Watts

This MFJ-913 works great on my 80,40,20 OCF but only up to 40 meters. The swr is great at 80 and 40, just a touch of tuning is needed at 20. But now my feed line is radiating on 80 meters after only a week of having it up and is causing rfi in the house. Im only running up to 100 watts. Probably just a quality issue im guessing.

Excellent Balun - used for quick Field Day installation - worked perfectly . MFJ quality has become very good.

The UHF output was misaligned and fixing that isnt easy as you cant remove screws or take this thing apart in any reasonable way. However, performance of this balun is pretty good with multiple wire HF configurations.

MFJ makes a good Balun. I used mine for a homemade Off Center fed. Does the job

It does what it is supposed do!. used it for a multi-band home brew dipole.

MFJ is good quality.Worked good on ocf antenna.

I own 2 of these. One is the feed point for a 4 band fan dipole. Works as expected on an attic mounted OCF dipole. Though stuffing 135ft of wire into an average size attic doesnt happen without a fight, and the requisite SWR is pretty high on bands the antenna should be resonant on.

Couldnt figure out why my OCF 80 meter dipole wasnt working. So I decided to change the balun, cant figure out why I had to, the old one was only 25+ years old. ( think I can get a refund?.....HI HI!) I put the mfj-913 in line....WOW! No tuner required for 80, 40 or 20 meters...Can now tune 160 through 10 meters!
