Made a work table using this bit and many other woodworking jigs. It’s so versatile!!!!

I am not a very experienced in router bits, i have a bunch of cheap kits, but this bit is by far the best one i own, i made a MicroJig 360 sled with my new router table that i built. It cut very clean, its design cuts the top edge with a small chamfer, there is very little tear out. I will keep this bit in my preferred pile.

The fit and accuracy is great, very handy and works perfect with the MicroJig dove tail clamp and the Matchfit dove tail hardware.

If youre going to make MatchFit groves, this is better than a normal bit. I use it without pre-cutting a channel, because I figure Im only ever going to use this bit for Matchfit grooves, so Ill use it for those and use other bits for other projects. You WILL need to buy or make a height jig, as I have done (see photo). Just make a few passes through 1 material using the bit set at different heights until you get the height where it just makes a smooth top but no higher. Then drive the router through a piece of wood and widen it to get your height profile. Or you can buy the same thing from MicroJig for $15. But youll need it to get the same height every time. Your next danger is burning. Set a high speed and move as quickly as you can. I have a 1/4 bit, and Im sure that with a more powerful 1/2 router it would be easier to burn less. It takes some practice, and you have to keep moving. If you do keep burning, run a channel first to open up the path, then come through and dovetail it.

Used to make a tapering jig along with the microjig dovetail clamps. Works great and creates a tight fit.

On the first use one of the cutters came off in the middle of a 15 inch dado.

This bit makes the perfect groove for the dovetail clamps, with nice rounded edges. I didnt need to sand them at all. Ive seen Youtubers who have made the grooves using a standard dovetail bit and they end up with sharp, torn-out edges that require tedious sanding. For me it was worth the money to avoid that. To extend the life of this bit, I do make a straight groove with another bit first to remove most of the material.

Works great. Make sure the depth is correct. Cut to shallow and the clamp protrudes above the groove
