I use it mainly to protect the charging port for the watch. I wear the watch through my hydro runs in the pool and after showering, take off the watch and the port protector and blow out the port with cold air to dry and clean any debris, wipe off the protector. If you dont the port will collect dirt, debris etc and may be an issue.

Ive had my garmin instinct for probably 3 years. It rarely comes off. Im extremely hard on things and wear this working on tractors and doing lots of dirty manual labor. As of today the face of my instinct has some extremely superficial minor scratches that you have to look very close to see. Ive rinsed mud out of the charging port on multiple occasions. Never a problem. This item looks like a solution in search of a problem that doesnt exist.

Screen protector works very well and is durable I do a lot of manual labor and also a firefight firefighter and it has stood up to the abuse this far. The rubber inserts for the charging port do have a tendency to fall out if they get to wet from water or sweat.

I bought this just for a little extra protection for my Garmin Instinct Tactical watch. I wear my watch every day, even to sleep and work and play with it on, and I have not had any scratches, cracks, etc. yet, and with a little luck this screen protector will continue to do its job.
