> 3 dayI didnt measure the wire size but everything seems really good. Insulation is heavier than I would like but not an issue. Connectors fit nicely. I havent done any measurements on losses or conductivity but they are working fine.

> 3 dayI stripped some of the wire and measured the strands with a micrometer, and counted the strands under a microscope. There are indeed 43 strands as the seller describes, but theyre each only 0.113mm diameter. This equates to about 20 AWG or thinner, with an ampacity of 5 amps, not even close to 18 AWG. Ive gotten similar results on import red-black bulk hookup wire imported from the land whose capital is at geo coordinates 40N 116E. So its the typical result with random electronic parts from Amazon: no brand, no markings, no identifiable source, samples deficient, not to be trusted. For a final test I assembled a loop-back out of one pigtail receptacle and the mating plug screw connector, pushed 5 amps through that, and metered 290 mV at the pigtail. So theres about 58 milliohms in the receptacle/plug combination. The pigtail wire was hardly warm, but the connectors were warm to the touch. So I found theyre OK for 5 amps.

> 3 dayI just got these and have already put them to use power one of my soldering projects. I bought these with one end open so I could make my own connections: very useful. I also bought another set with both sides done with two female wire bolt down connections. You will always find a use for these and they worked fine for me.

> 3 dayDoes what they are designed to do. Buy yourself a bulk pack of these and keep on hand for when you need them. Most recently I used one when I cut a power supply cable only to discover that the negative lead was not insulated, but was bare copper. So, chunked that PS and used another one with this pigtail to give me 2 clean leads to plug into my microcontroller.
