Milwaukee 49-22-4029 Tool HOLE DOZER Bi-Metal Hole Saw Set (17-Piece) with Case

The carry box is not as advertised , much less user friendly with the drill bits jammed in a compartment . The product arrived with no e if the retaining pins in place and the 3/4 hole bit is damaged as per the photo . I’m only not returning as I need to use other sizes immediately . Hoping the rest of the items will last , given it’s brand pedigree

I bought this item because it was lower in price compared to that I found in the stores. I’m disappointed with 3 of the hole saws not fitting either of the 2 arbors it came with, the threads just simply won’t catch and screw on. Looks like I have to buy 3 different hole sizes now !

Good bi-metal hole saws. Case leaves a lot to be desired in its design. Bits that hold the hole saws you literally have to pull the little red bin out then pour the contents out. I have small fingers and cant seem to pull them out while in the case. Big meaty fingered guys forget about it. Always liked the pins that slide into these hole saws as you screw them on the bit. That little itty bitty allen wrench will be lost in 2-3 days. Make it bigger for Christ sakes. What drilling into metal or wood. That hole saw has a tendency to grab and will break your wrist if not careful. Works well so far. Little expensive but needed these for a fuel tank.

I needed to make a hole a different size than the hole saw I now have, decided on this set because it has a verity of sizes. Current saw was a Milwaukee, so I bought this set- good tool.

They work they actually last awhile I was shocked.

The hole saw themselves are fine. The new case is very cheap and terrible to organize or dig through. You might consider picking these up in store if they still offer the older, nicer case.

I’ve owned this item before and it worked great. I haven’t used this particular item yet but there seems to be a user error problem that’s making for bad reviews. Let me just say, this is NOT a drill bit. These are hole saws! Using a saw is different then using a drill. When sawing anything you must let the saw do the work instead of forcing the tool into material. When using these hole saws the initial starting of the hole rotate the saw slightly as if you are rolling a ball on the floor in a circle, another example is rotation should be similar to making a dough ball the size of a grapefruit. If you push these saw blades into material using force you WILL get most of the same results most of the bad reviews are talking about. So first rotate slightly making room for the saw teeth to remove material, then gently walk the saws back and forth until you slowly cut through the material. Remember using a hand saw to cut a straight line through a 2x4? Well that’s what is happening with these holes saws with regard to speed. Slow and steady and be smart. Avoid binding, avoid rushing, avoid force! Hope this helps.

Anything below a certain size can be used with a standard drill. I thought I was getting a good deal on name brand but not all of these would work with my drill. After I received this and used the smaller sizes. I am stuck with a product that I cant use the larger sizes unless I purchase a drill starting at $129 and taxes. That is not in my budget at this time. The small sizes worked great. The descriptions need to be made easier to understand with more details for the beginner. If I were to rate the hole accessories that I could use it would be a 3.75 out of 5.
