> 3 dayThe temp is right on with what my incubator temp says but humidity is different..not sure which to go by. The numbers are nice and large on the display but if it falls over when the egg turner moves, you cant read it. You have to look at it straight on. But thats no big deal. Seems to work fine. Just wish it werent quite so mini in size. I think I would purchase again.

> 3 dayI read other reviews that said this was not accurate but for the price I was willing to take a chance. The one I received gives accurate readings as far as I can tell. I compared the readings to a more expensive thermometer/hygrometer I had as well as to my Nest thermostat and they all had very similar readings so I feel comfortable in relying on it. I am using it in an egg incubator and another reviewer stated that it provided inaccurate results in their incubator. Mine is a small forced air incubator and I needed something small to fit in it. I also receive temperature readings that are inconsistent with the reading on my incubator but I have found my incubator has warmer and cooler spots depending on where I place this in the incubator, I think this is to be expected because of the physics of warm air rising and the proximity of the incubator’s temperature sensor to the heating element where this sits lower in the incubator and closer to the edge of it where heat conduction is also a factor with the cooler walls of the incubator. I have another thermometer I used to calibrate my incubator at the level the eggs sit in it and I use this mostly for the humidity readings which appear to be quite accurate.

> 3 dayWorks as it should. Its small which is exactly what we needed,we put a magnet on the back to use for a chick brooder. It came with extra batteries which is awesome for the price.

> 3 dayThis product easy to use. Some angles the numbers look like all 8s. I had to mount it whit double side tape while not bocking the battery port. Overall, it is a great device for my cigar box and small enough that it doesnt take up a lot of room.

> 3 dayI use this to check the humidity of my guitars. It arrived quickly, with a set of batteries installed and an extra set in the box - a nice touch. It is accurate and easily fits in a guitar case. You cant beat the value for the price.

> 3 dayI got this to keep in the case with a mandolin. Its not an expensive instrument, so Im not rabid about accuracy. I dont have anything to check it against, but if its within a couple of percentage points, thats all I need. And Ive no reason think its less accurate than that. It comes to a reading pretty quickly. First time I checked it I learned that I was probably overdoing humidification a bit. Good thing to find out. I give accuracy 4 out of 5 only because I dont know. The size is good for keeping in the case of a small instrument like a mandolin, violin, or ukulele. I havent had it long enough to be able to speak to battery life. It came with batteries installed, and two extra ones - a nice touch, unless its indicative of short battery life. Time will tell. I give battery life 4 out of 5 because I dont know yet. The display is easy to read. The readout shows both temperature and humidity, with humidity the most prominent, which is what I want in this case (if youll pardon the expression). The temperature readout is in Fahrenheit. The box indicates that its a Fahrenheit sensor, so no changing it Celsius. At the price, I wouldnt really expect that. Because its not explicitly sold as a musical instrument case hygrometer, its significantly less expensive than those that are. Ill probably be buying another one.

> 3 dayThis is a very basic hydrometer that I got to toss into my much smaller acrylic table top humidor where I keep a dozen flavored sticks stored. After an overnight salt test it held at 73%RH so it was off by just 2% which isnt the end of the world. Considering the unit cant be calibrated I expected some variance to it being off slightly. Im just glad it wasnt off by 5+%. I wasnt a fan of the fact it was already on when I opened the box, it would have been neat to have a plastic tab to pull like many small gadgets like this where I can activate the battery upon receipt. Overall for the value Im happy with it and would consider it again if I needed one. Id even recommend it to a friend because even if one turns out to be a bad unit its not costly.

> 3 dayThis is my second one. The screen on the first one started dimming out after a year (im sure the battery just died) but this was such a great value I just got another one. It’s much better than the analog dial on my humidor since it shows temperature as well. Most of my cigars have plume on them which is a sign they are aging perfectly.

09-06-2025Im using this for my Hermit Crab Neils Crabitat. It helps me keep track for the heat & humidity. The digital readout is large & easy to read. The Company/Seller sent me a new one at no charge, 1st time thats happened. I was having issue getting it calibrated so i wrote to explain what was happening they wrote back right away saying they were sending a new one at no charge which they did & that these are pre-calibrated. I spent 2 days with the first one precisely calibrating it as you would a Hygrometer but i couldnt get it to read the correct settings i guess now i know why. Once i received the 2nd Hygrometer i put them side by side in a controlled environment. Both were near exact. Ive had the 2nd one they sent me in Neils crabitat with zero issues for almost 2 months he seems happier as Ive been able to keep the heat & humidity at the recommend settings 80+ humidity & 77-80 degrees. I have a heating pad too when needed. I noticed some YouTube videos saying you need to keep the top completely sealed & heating pad on pretty much all the time but that made the crabitat too hot & humid the Hygrometer read 99% humidity & 95 degrees, which is way too hot/humid. I know he needs a friend thats my next goal. Pet shop crabs are not always kept in ideal conditions & Neil is 13 years old. I want to thank the Seller its the best customer service Ive experienced so far & Neil is happy too.
