in mid use using the included battery, my calipers started flashing little black bars...means needs new battery? i tried the ones i had LR44,, didnt work.. then ordered SR44...still wont work but now i cant find the battery cover..no exact matches...so now i have to order a brand new calipers? well it certainly will not be this one...waste of money if i can not get battery and replacement cover to work.

A measuring tool is a good time to area high quality. In the long run, I think it is a better value than cheap ones. This is a professional level tool. But even for the more casual machinist or hobbyist, at times a professional level tool is the best way to go. Most will do fine with the 6 version for standard work, but sometimes the 4 version is a little handier when working with smaller parts or around smaller machines.

Always wanted a 4 inch caliper. Run a #2 Bridgeport. Need to take measurements with work piece still in the vise. Very pleased with the quality and accuracy.

This 4 caliper is really great. I already have the same in a 6 but I needed something that could get into smaller areas.

I believe this line of calipers have the best feel and balance of any Ive ever used in my 25 years in the industry.

Extremely accurate. 4” size does take some getting use to when swapping from a 6” but nothing a little use can’t fix. Well worth the money. Digital read out very easy to read
